Tea Party Boot Camp (Fresno) photos

Opie has a pretty darned good post about the Boot Camp HERE

I'm just gonna post a few pics from this impressive gathering of Patriots.

These folks were not shy about loudly voicing their
salty advice whenever the names Reid, Pelosi,
Schwarzenegger or Obama were mentioned.

The organizers made a real effort to remind us all
that we were in Fresno. This guy was one of the
most enthusiastic cheerleaders for political action.

Opie shocked organizers by leading the entire throng
in an impromptu and spirited rendition of
George M. Cohan's Yankee Doodle Boy.

Opie cornered Congressman Tom McClintock and
demanded his promise to stand firm against Cap 'n Trade.

Opie offers to purchase a FREEDOM T-shirt
for a bewildered homeless man. He finally
settled for two dollars and a bag of Cheetos.

    I am ROFLMAO!

    NICKIE!

Are you NOT going to own up to posting in ONE of these pictures????

    OK. Let's all play:

Spot the Goomba. Come on. Go ahead. Which one is Nickie. LL, you may not play.

    That's him in photo #2.

I would say that last guy, but Goomba doesn't eat Cheetos.

    DC, It's uncanny.

Looks like Ms #6 is fitting the poor old guy for a free T-shirt.

Rhod... A clean shirt would have been a waste of time. The poor fellow was one of those chronic droolers.

Given that we now have photos of these types roaming tea party events, I guess Obama was right about this crowd.

  7. Personally, I would have taken the shirt.

Did the congresscritter (I'm going to stop referring to their names so they don't get free press) come through with a promise?

  8. @Opie...btw, I think the Goomba is the homeless guy.

  9. Looks like a strong gathering from the Socialist Republic of California. You guys are awesome!! Keep it up out there! Anyone know where to find one of those Tyranny Response Team T-shirts?

    Hoping,

Get Goomba to give you his (in photo #2). He'll give you the shirt off his back, I tell you.

Hey wait ... that homeless guy should be waiting in line for his free swine flu shot and/or at an Obama rally. What gives?

I hear you, DC. The poor old sop was not much more than an aged poltroon. After hustling dimes from the assembled patriots (with tales of his exploits at the Battle of Cancun), he scurried off into the glaring sunlight. I did hear him mutter an adieu that seemed to include the words Hope and Change.

Dave, McClintock was pretty damn good. He said ALL the right things.

DC, I haven't touched a bag of Cheetos since 1982 when my physician finally figured out what was causing that persistent orange rash in my groinal area.

Woman, I serve to please you.

  17. Nickie, you homeless old fart.

I've been part of McClintock's Phone Townhall meetings. I have never, ever heard him dodge a question. If you feel he's ever made a mistake, He'll either honestly defend it or admit he's still learning. I've never heard him pass the buck. He is a Conservative !

Now for some Opie points ... Damn Lady you get prettier every day !

  18. I think all posts should have a minimum 3 pics of Opus.

Opus, you should run for governor.

Nickie, you can't claim to be 'too' old anymore, you look pretty vim and vigor to me.

Woody, I was impressed by McClintock. There was a whole hangerful of folks hungry to hear the words he was saying.

Kid, stop flattering the woman. As it is, I'm getting these pics free. If she ever realizes her drawing power, I'll never be able to afford her.

    And I mean that.

    PS to DC:

Four or five years ago, Goomba gave us a look at a pic of himself with Richard Nixon.

    Do you remember?

Hmmm. I am intrigued. There is a pic of a younger Goomba floating in the ether?

OK, spill! You guys have had access to all my old photos on my blog. It's only fair. And while you are at it, scan in photos of yourselves and email 'em to me. Come on. Fair is fair.

Opie's right, DC. Have you still got that picture of you and Skeeball at the Who concert?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous10/25/2009

Skeeball? Man, you are imbibing from the good flask tonight. But ... cool it, Goomba. No one has laid eyes on the great DC.

This is a cheap way to run up the blog hits and traffic, posing with the dames. I protest. Oh, wait, I write here, too, I guess. But I protest because I don't get to pose with the dames.

Opie, you all offer these up "without consideration" ... that's a little legal lingo for you. I am keeping my cards close to the vest. However, send me a couple of jumbo bags of Cheetos and we'll talk.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous10/25/2009

DC, if they are "without consideration", why do you keep considering them.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous10/26/2009

Oh, geez ... Break out your Contracts book. From the top ... But legalese aside, I do consider how gramps cozied up next to that blonde. I am see him working, for that is worth considering, indeed. And I shake my head.

  34. A couple of things here -

First, Opus, I am jealous, McClintock is one of my heroes and you all know I wouldn't say that of many pols....

Conservative women are beautiful too :)

Also, I vote for Nickie MIA, I don't see a gent with a distinguished 'stache and Italian veneer....hmmm....

I am jealous of you guys!

  35. Anonymous10/26/2009

Reb, I'm in the top photo... 14th guy from the left.

  36. Anonymous10/26/2009

Opie, actually it WAS a picture of a younger Goomba floating in the ether. Spectral stuff. So far it hasn't been debunked. Really creepy.
