It's ironic how most of us don't miss something 'til it's gone or appreciate it while it's around.
Reagan's term was only about 20 years ago...a lot of GOD seems to have been taken out of government since just 20 years ago. If Reagan delivered that speech today in today's climate, he may have been deemed politically incorrect.
After President Reagan I am profoundly disappointed in the paucity of courage of those who followed. I trust that God is now in the process of preparing the heart of another man that can we can be proud of.
Woody, like so many special people and events, we wish we'd looked harder and listened more carefully. I'm just happy we needn't depend on the weakstream media to shape our memories of the man.

Nickie - I liked Hellcats of the Navy for its illustration of playing fair and honest in some of the most difficult of times.
Star Trek copied this theme in one of their episodes where Capt. Kirk supposedly killed off one Mr. Finney during an Ion storm. (The Star Trek version had a twist in which Finney wasn't dead)
I did. I had problems holding back the tears as George H.W. Bush was sworn in. I knew we would never see anybody like Reagan hold that office again.

Compare how often Reagan said I in his speaches to Obama in his and you get a hint of what greatness truly is.
