    It gets worse!

  3. This is ludicrous! Where has common sense gone? Out the window.

  4. Thank God for the sanity brought to the table by progressives. Imagine a world in which small plastic army men were allowed everywhere. It would breed chaos!

Worse still is the whole support-the-military concept. Sure the iconic progressive, barack hussein obama is commander-in-chief of America's military, but he's ashamed of his role (which makes it ok). Yes, America has a military, but they haven't ever done much to further the cause of liberalism or progressive movement toward a "new Constitution". They steadfastly cling to their outmoded "old Constitution". Imagine that!

Best that we simply proclaim peace throughout the world, OUTLAW tiny plastic army men once and for all, and the nation will at last find its legs in the New World Order.

  5. @LL, Well said!
@Teresa, Common sense has long departed! When teachers wave anti-war signs during a ceremony honoring high school graduates that have decided to join the military, I cringe. I suppose if they should ever visit the USS Arizona memorial they spit in the water?

  6. For those who care to let their feelings be known here is the address for the Superintendent of Schools in Coventry;

Kenneth R. Di Pietro, Superintendent of Schools
    1675 Flat River Road
    Coventry, RI 02816

Couldn't find an email address, but the above was easily found via their district website. Isn't modern technology and public information wonderful?

Since this school undoubtedly receives federal money in one form or another I'd say everyone has a dog in this fight.

  8. You know, if we're going to play "stupid Zero Tolerance" games, how about this one: Any government bureaucrat or "elected" official who violates a citizen's rights is fired?

  9. You need to start gluing people who condemn normal stuff as "inappropriate" to the wall and fixing their mouths with duct tape.

God forbid that this young boy learn to honor the troops (who tote guns, btw). That might offend a liberal progressive.

  12. We are being controlled by children. Evil children, but children by all measure.

Keads... I find it interesting that the kids going off to the military are willing to risk thier precious young lives so the those two soft-headed marxists could protest.

  16. @Nickie- I do too. I really do not feel that they are all from "depressed upbringing" and that is the only way out for them as portrayed in certain media. God bless them! I know veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the current campaigns. The WWII vet went on a victory flight two months ago to see the memorial in Washington.

That is a dichotomy I cannot resolve!

  17. @Nickie- A tangent on your post in the comment box...

If you cannot laugh at your self, don't worry, we will!

  19. I felt threatened just looking at those blood thirsty warriors. I'm going to have to figure out how I will sleep tonight with the horrors of that image burned into my mind.

Thomas Jefferson? Nick, you've reached new heights.

This is an example of the post-modern mind .... this is where it goes. It finds standards, just always the wrong ones.

  24. Toasty... Glad to have you back, and I agree with you 100%.

Thanks Nick. I just completed a home move after a long drawn out search. Still did not end up with what we wanted. My own blogging has been light, and my time to spend in the blogs I like even less. Still plenty to do to get the homestead up to speed, but at least I am not on the road every other day!
