Summer's Coming

It seems that the end of January marks the beginning of the end for many folks' patience with winter; at least for me it does.

It's time to start thinking of more pleasant weather, courtesy of the Kinks (1966).

The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful...

I'm with you, Siggie. Sixty-seven degrees here for he third day in a row. I've never been so bored.

  3. Great Tune Sig.

I'm with ya. Summer. Bring it.

We've got freezing rain the next three days. If the power goes out, I want my money back. And I want my records Back !!!!!!

  4. I just bought a ticket to the new Al Gore speaking tour. He's warning about the dire hazard caused by global cooling.

  5. Nickie - that's warm considering what it felt like in San Fran during the 4th of July weekend, 2009. What is with CA?

I actually saw someone wearing gloves in the Haight/Ashbury section - my daughters wanted to see real hippies. They do a great mock hippie dance too. We have great conversations talking about hippy culture and shooting hippies.

  6. Kid - I can't wait. We're expecting another monster snow storm tomorrow night right after Chicago gets dusted. The worst we had around here recently was a four and a half day blizzard back in January 1967. That storm dumped
103 inches of snow on Oswego only 35 miles north of us. We got about 60 inches.

  7. Wetzy - Chicago has already issued a shoot-on-sight advisory for Al if he's seen within 100 miles of O'Hare airport..

  8. LL - the only warming present during that tour will be all the hot air that Uncle Al releases during his habitual liar gig.
