It's all very well Enda Kenny saying it was a done as a tribute to Obama but I think he should sack his speech-writer, or whoever thought it would be a good idea:
It's a shame - it's made Kenny look pretty silly for going along with it. The intention may have been good but it just didn't come across as he intended. Seems he's not alone - someone sent me this one of Harper and Howard in 2003:
