I think they actually made that thing.

You know, the computer really needs to be a secondary device now. It should be somewhere out of sight with human interface devices around the house. A panel in the kitchen where you'd store and retrieve recipes and shopping lists, to do lists and the sort.

The TV would be a major player. A laser mouse with light signal double click, right click, single click, whatever you need. A fabric based wireless keyboard that rolls up and stores in the coffee table for example.

You're watching TV, you hit the laser mouse to bring up any application, internet whatever and do something then return to TV - or not. Email and any other notifications come through on the TV and all other interface devices in the house.
Whatever you're doing, where ever you are in the house area, you have an inexpensive interface device to communicate with the computer which just runs forever and is off in a closet somewhere.

Jeez, Kid... you're talking to a guy who is refusing to part with his rotary phone. I still use a typewriter. To me, 20th century innovation reached it's zenith with the transistor radio.

Rhod has sleepless nights fitfully resenting the disappearing button flies. I feel the same about saddle shoes.

Nickie, Well, now we know you're more savvy than most of Congress.

10 times as smart as pelosi....

I'm pretty sure I will not need one. The guy who sold me my computer said it would never be obsolete.

Kid, that ain't saying much.

Cool, Tres... I've been looking to buy one of those.
