No Fear

One reporter takes a step back and provides a good summary of President Trump's treatment of the media at the last press conference.
It seems most politicians fear the media, or at the very least they are afraid of offending their sensibilities resulting in negative coverage. Not so with Trump, who spoke his mind, refused to let the reporters gain any kind of control or authority and limited their questions when he felt they had said enough.
I still think that CNN's Acosta went over the line and should have been spanked more harshly than he was. But the President was very patient and handled him courteously. Acosta is an arrogant fool and his WH press credentials should be revoked. The transcript of this exchange can be read here.

Springsteen Changes His Mind

Chris Christie and his wife joined the Trumps for dinner.
“This is what it’s like to be with Trump,” Christie said. “He says, ‘There’s the menu, you guys order whatever you want.’ And then he says, ‘Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.’”

Trump said “I’m telling you, the meatloaf is fabulous,” according to Christie.

Bruce Springsteen just decided that he is definitely not going to change his stage name to Pork Chop.

Attack Squirrel Attacks

A burglar is driven away by a man's pet squirrel.

Adam Pearl returned home to find that someone had broken into his home and tried to jimmy open his gun safe.

But the would be burglar had no idea he would be messing with ... PFC Joey.
Pearl called Meridian Police and when officer Ashley Turner came out to take a look, Joey just had to say hello.

"During her investigations Joey had run in the bedroom just screwing around like he always does between her legs and kind of startled her," explained Pearl. She says whoa, what was that, and I said "ahhh don't worry about that, that's just Joey, my pet squirrel ya know."

[...]Officer Turner went on her way, only to return a few hours later with some of his stolen belongings and some unbelievable news.

"She said while she was questioning the individual he had scratches on his hands so she asked him 'did you get that from the squirrel' and he says yeah, damn thing kept attacking me and wouldn't stop until I left," said Pearl.

Trump Spanks The Media

President Trump held a press conference this afternoon and used this opportunity to slap the media around. You can listen to it here or read Rush Limbaugh's transcript of the presser here.

Trump excoriated the press and their "very fake news" in a way that no other President has done. It was like a terrier shaking a rat. But he does it in such a non-threatening way; no shouting or vilifying or name calling. Trump has a way of dealing with unpleasant subjects that makes it hard to get offended - as long as you're not a loon. Loons are different: difficult, unpleasant people. Lefty loons are even worse. Yeah, if you're a loon there is nothing that you can't take offense at.

Legal Insurrection has an article that relates how the media continues to have a royal snit over their education under Teacher Trump's tutelage.
"The journalists at ABC on Wednesday erupted in “open hostility” to Donald Trump, accusing the President of “shutting down part of the First Amendment” by not calling on network reporters at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Jon Karl, Cecilia Vega and Matt Dowd repeatedly whined about the “conservative” questioners who were chosen, lamenting that the preferred narrative of the liberal media wasn’t highlighted.

In the post-press conference coverage, Vega ranted, “I want to tell you about the open hostility right here in this room. You know, I’m sitting right here kind of in the middle of the pack of a number of journalists, mainstream reporters, if you will, and there is open anger in here about the fact the President did not take any real questions about the issue of the day.”
Angry liberal tears are best served chilled, shaken not stirred, with a shot of derision.

Voter Fraud Must Be Investigated

A fairly recent survey indicates that voter fraud may have run rampant in the last November's Presidential election. From the WashTimes:
A large number of non-citizen Hispanics, as many as 2 million, were illegally registered to vote in the U.S., according to a nationwide poll.
The National Hispanic Survey provides additional evidence for use by anti-voter fraud conservatives and bolsters an analysis by professors at Old Dominion University who say non-citizens registered and voted in potentially large numbers.

[...]The little-noticed Hispanic survey was conducted in June 2013 by McLaughlin and Associates to gauge the opinions of U.S. resident Latinos on a wide range of issues.

Inside the poll is a page devoted to voter profiles. Of the randomly selected sample of 800 Hispanics, 56 percent, or 448, said they were non-citizens, and of those, 13 percent said they were registered to vote. The 448 would presumedly be a mix of illegal immigrants and noncitizens who are in the U.S. legally, such as visa holders or permanent residents.
This means that the survey indicates that 58 out of 800 non-citizens were registered to vote, or 7.3% of the sample. The DHS estimated in 2003 that there were perhaps as many as 12 million illegal aliens residing in the US. New estimates, especially after years of lax enforcement policies under Obama, indicate that it may be as high as 20 million. If so, there could be 800,800 to 1.45 million non-citizens and illegal aliens that could have voted in the last election.

And if they are not allowed to vote, why were they even registered? Something foul is afoot here.

Will The Deep State Allow Trump To Survive?

With the political assassination of Gen. Flynn under their belts, the proponents of the NWO (New World Order) have to be feeling pretty good about themselves. You have to wonder what is next on their agenda.

My take is that they will fight to survive a re-shaping of the federal judiciary.
From the Daily Caller:
President Donald Trump is positioned to potentially appoint more federal judges to the bench than any first-term president in 40 years due to several vacancies on federal courts and a growing number of older judges.

There are 870 federal court judgeships established under Article III of the Constitution that are appointed by the president, of which all but a few judges can serve lifetime terms. The majority of these judgeships are on district or appeals courts.

As Trump begins his presidency, 12 percent of the federal judiciary's seats are vacant, and 24 percent are eligible for "senior status," a kind of semi-retirement that judges reach with a combination of age and years served on the bench, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
The judiciary was one of the first targets selected by the progressive movement. It started in the universities and took over the law schools. It is my understanding that Blackstone's "Justice and Legal Reasoning"  is no longer used as a reference in modern law schools. Blackstone would not endorse the judicial activism so prevalent in today's courts. The following is from his introduction:
JUSTICE AND LEGAL REASONING
WILLIAM T. BLACKSTONE*
This Article analyzes the requisite structure of proper judicial reasoning and the freedoms allowed in judicial decision-making within that structure. The primary emphasis is on "hard" cases, with the sorts of issues and the mode of reasoning in complex appellate court decisions. Simplistic formal or mechanical decisions in which a clear cut rule of law is applied to a given case pose no great philosophical problems for jurisprudential reasoning; hard cases can pose such problems. They go beyond simple mechanical decision making procedures and involve conflicts of rights and principles, interpretations of rights and principles, and decisions on priorities of rights and principles. They go not only to fundamental issues of constitutional interpretation but to fundamental moral issues as well.
Blackstone wrote: "If the law embodies irrelevant criteria or if it legitimizes arbitrary discriminations or if it permits such discrimination, then the law is an instrument of social injustice."

And there you have the 9th Circuit Court in a nutshellThe courts have become instruments of social injustice.

If Trump makes significant headway in restoring constitutional balance to our federal court system, I believe that will be an incredible amount of push back, even more so than he is facing now. Perhaps it is conspiracy theory write large, but speculation regarding retribution against Trump exists.

After all the damage to America that Obama caused, I still don't recall ever encountering speculations about retribution such as this:
In a truly remarkable bit of honesty and candor regarding the U.S. national-security establishment, new Senate minority leader Charles Schumer has accused President-elect Trump of “being really dumb.”… for taking on the CIA and questioning its conclusions regarding Russia.

“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you…. He’s being really dumb to do this.”

Britain's Nuclear Deterrant At Risk

A serious fault has been reported in the reactor of a British submarine. Over half of the Brit's nuclear subs are out of commission now.
Experts warned the fault in the reactor of HMS Trenchant was so serious that the Trafalgar fleet may never sail again. The fracture is being treated as an “irreparable generic fault” that will prevent it from being able to carry out normal duties.

It means Britain may be forced to beg for international support in protecting our four Vanguard submarines, which carry Britain’s Trident nuclear deterrent.
Britain deploys seven SSN nuclear-powered hunter-killers. Last week it was revealed that the four older Trafalgar-class submarines, Trenchant, Torbay, Triumph and Talent, were out of action due to repairs and maintenance.

Justice Ginsburg Expresses Concern About Lack Of Fiber In Her Diet

Whatever she expressed concern about is nothing more than liberal dementia presenting itself.
“I think of the U.S. as a place that welcomes people from abroad who want to work and who are yearning to be free,” she said. “It’s disheartening to see that there are some people who don’t agree with that view who think our borders should be closed. But it’s not the first time in U.S. history that has happened.”
Across our borders come a flood of criminals, heroin, cocaine and assorted and sundry parasites who drop a foal and then collect welfare and this decrepit loon is afraid that people will take issue.

Justices Gone Wild

The 9th Circuit Court just realized it stepped on its collective dick. A sua sponte motion (a motion not made by either party but by a judge all on his lonesome) was filed by the Court to reconsider its dick stepping decision this week. Perhaps this time they will choose interpretive pole dancing instead of Constitutional law.
From the Conservative Treehouse:
Oh, the winning… it’s often too funny. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is now independently, on its own impetus, requesting an internal vote on a full panel en banc hearing to review its own decision.

Additionally, the full ninth are asking the Trump administration to file an additional brief telling the court why the three member original appeals ruling authority was wrong. In essence, the smart judges know what wasn’t considered, and are now looking for an out.

You just can’t make this stuff up.
The Justice Department was asked to submit another brief in support of its case; it appears as if they may ignore it. Trump doesn't have to do a thing but let the Court stew in its own juices.

Do We Need A Fence On Our Northern Border?

Apparently Canada is run by idiots.
From the NY Post:
WINNIPEG, Manitoba — A Canadian man who was found not criminally responsible for beheading and cannibalizing a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus has been granted his freedom.

Manitoba’s Criminal Code Review Board announced Friday it has given Will Baker, formerly known as Vince Li, an absolute discharge, meaning he is longer subject to monitoring.

Baker, a diagnosed schizophrenic, killed Tim McLean, a young carnival worker who was a complete stranger to Baker, in 2008. A year later he was found not criminally responsible due to mental illness.
The crazy SOB can waltz over here anytime he wants another "snack."

I wonder if the Snickers people will use him for one of their commercials.
He's not himself when he gets hungry...
