Criminals Running The UK Gov't?

Just think what is happening in America before you pooh-pooh this article.
The entire criminal justice system was infiltrated by organised crime gangs, according to a secret Scotland Yard report leaked to The Independent.

In 2003 Operation Tiberius found that men suspected of being Britain’s most notorious criminals had compromised multiple agencies, including HM Revenue & Customs, the Crown Prosecution Service, the City of London Police and the Prison Service, as well as pillars of the criminal justice system including juries and the legal profession.

The strategic intelligence scoping exercise – “ratified by the most senior management” at the Met – uncovered jurors being bought off or threatened to return not-guilty verdicts; corrupt individuals working for HMRC, both in the UK and overseas; and “get out of jail free cards” being bought for £50,000.

The report states that the infiltration made it almost impossible for police and prosecutors to successfully pursue the organised gangs that police suspected controlled much of the criminal underworld.

The author of Tiberius, which was compiled from intelligence sources including covert police informants, live telephone intercepts, briefings from the security services and thousands of historical files, came to the desperate conclusion: “Quite how much more damage could be done is difficult to imagine.”

The fresh revelations come a day after The Independent revealed that Tiberius had concluded the Metropolitan Police suffered “endemic police corruption” at the time, and that some of Britain’s most dangerous organised crime syndicates were able to infiltrate New Scotland Yard “at will”.
If you will, consider the disarming of the British population in light of the above.

Desperately Seeking Sulafah

The SecState scours the beaches of Libya seeking the murderers of Ambassador Stephens

The Benghazi outrage happened 15 months ago.

Only now does the State Department issue a call to identify the persons responsible and offer a reward.
The State Department today publicly announced a $10 million reward "for information leading to the arrest or conviction of any individual responsible for the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks." The announcement for the reward is posted on rewardsforjustice.net.

Frickin' incompetent idjuts. Why not wait another year?

And then there's the poor slob who spent months in jail for making a video that no body watched that supposedly caused the riot in the first place. Remember that lie?

Clinton and Kerry: between those two, I can't decide who needs to be shot first.

College Athletes - It's All About The Benjamins

My alma mater plays UNC today at noon.

A recent study of UNC basketball players does not paint a flattering picture:
[...]But a researcher at the University of North Carolina, Mary Willingham, came in for particular vitriol after reporting that of 183 Tar Heel football or basketball players, 60 percent were reading at levels between fourth and eighth grade.

She also cited the example of one basketball player who came to her for help early in her career who could not read or write. In response, the university issued a statement saying it did not believe her claim about an illiterate player — adding it could not comment on the other claims because it didn’t have the data. CNN says it has e-mails showing the university knew about the research, had even given its permission and has the data.

We note that Willingham’s numbers about UNC accord come in the context of the study’s larger finding that “most schools have between 7 percent and 18 percent of revenue sport athletes who are reading at an elementary school level.” Recall too that UNC is the same school where just two years back 18 members of the football team took a class that existed only on paper.
It's a shame. Most of these players will not get picked by the the pros, what kind of jobs will they get once they graduate ... if they even graduate?

Cats n' Dogs

On August 1, 2013, a Boise, Idaho man, 28-year-old Ryan Tannenholz, was arrested for having sex with a cat. He is looking at five years in prison, if found guilty of six felony counts of crimes against nature and one misdemeanor count of cruelty to an animal.

That a man had sex with a cat is disgusting enough. But the twist to the story is that the bestialist had sex with the poor cat while dressed as a dog.

The crazy sumbitch dresses up as a dog,"Bubblegum Husky," as show below, and then porks a cat.

I've been in law enforcement over forty years. I've been to a World's Fair and a rodeo but I've never seen this shit.

That, that's just not right.

H/T and more of the story at FoTM and here.

Obama Slaps Every Cop In The Face

Obama has nominated a radical leftist, cop-killer defender to head the DOJ's Civil Rights Division. This POS kept Abu-Jamal off death row and has participated in any number of outrageous agenda driven initiatives as documented in the above video clip. There is no way in hell this man should be given a government position that involves any legal responsibility other than sucking farts out of  juror's seat cushions.

I blogged the following seven years ago.
On December 9th, 1981, a 25 year old Philadelphia police officer by the name of Daniel Faulkner pulled over a Volkswagen driving the wrong way on Locust Street. In a few minutes, Officer Faulker was dead.
As Danny attempted to handcuff William Cook, Mumia Abu-Jamal ran from across he street and shot the officer in the back. Danny turned and was able to fire one shot that struck Abu-Jamal in the chest; the wounded officer then fell to the pavement. Mumia Abu-Jamal stood over the downed officer and shot him four more times at close range, once directly in the face.
Mumia Abu-Jamal was found still at the scene of the shooting by officers who arrived there within seconds. The murderer was slumped against the curb in front of his brother's car. In his possession was a .38 caliber revolver that records showed Mumia had purchased months earlier. The chamber of the gun had five spent cartridges. A cab driver, as well as other pedestrians, had witnessed the brutal slaying and identified Mumia Abu-Jamal as the killer both at the scene and during his trial.
It's not as if there was a lot of confusion over identifying the suspect, or questions of violating his constitutional rights during a rigorous interrogation. The dude was there, he shot the cop and was himself shot in return. More on the specific actions of Officer Faulkner's killer.
Officer Faulkner was able to draw his gun and fire one return shot at his assailant, Mumia Abu-Jamal. This bullet was later extracted from Mr. Jamal's upper abdomen. Having fired this shot, Officer Faulkner fell to the sidewalk. While the wounded officer lay helpless and unarmed on his back, Mr. Jamal was seen by four individuals standing over the Officer with his five shot, .38 caliber Charter Arms revolver in his hand. From approximately 3 feet, Jamal began to fire at the officer's upper body.
That's four witnesses who testified that Abu-Jamal (real name Wesley Cook, he was the older brother of the man Officer Faulkner was trying to arrest) shot Officer Faulkner. If four people who by coincidence happen to be in the same approximate location and witness a crime, it behooves any cop in his right mind to slam the cuffs on whomever they point their finger at.
Officer Faulkner is believed to have been conscious at this point and to be looking up at his assailant, who was later identified by several people at the crime scene as Mumia Abu Jamal. It's believed that in an attempt to save his life, Faulkner began to roll from side to side as Jamal fired at him. Jamal missed his first several shots. He then moved closer to Faulkner and bent down over him. Mr. Jamal put the muzzle of his gun within inches of Officer Faulkner's face, and squeezed off the final, and fatal, shot. The bullet entered the officer's face slightly above the eye and came to rest in his brain, killing him instantly.
There is no reason whatsoever for this waste of oxygen to still be alive today. Yet there are those who disbelieve witnesses and a court reviewed sentence.
  1. Mumia Abu-Jamal was arrested at the scene.
  2. He couldn't flee, he had been shot in the chest.
  3. Sucking chest wounds discourage flight.
  4. The weapon was recovered at the scene.
  5. He bought the gun.
  6. He registered the gun.
  7. The gun was his.
  8. Officer Faulkner was shot five times.
  9. The gun was fired five times.
  10. Four witnesses testified that Abu-Jamal shot Officer Faulkner.
  11. Four witnesses testified that Officer Faulkner shot Abu-Jamal.
  12. One witness, Robert Chobert, was directly behind Officer Faulkner's car.
  13. Bullet fragments were "consistent" with the Charter Arms that Abu-Jamal was carrying.

Sometimes all you get are fragments, depending on the type of ammunition, distance to the target and what the slug passes through before coming to rest. The notion of a perfectly formed (or deformed into a "mushroom") bullet is not that common. I was a crime scene specialist, an evidence technician, for eight years. I've recovered quite a number of bullets under many different circumstances. Sometimes even a bullet that seems remarkably whole to the naked eye is difficult to impart to a specific firearm due to irregularities in the rifling striations.

If the bullets passed through Officer Faulkner's body and hit the pavement or other hard object (see the crime scene map here, remember it is not a sketch and is not draw to scale), there could be sufficient damage to the projectiles as to render them useless for a 100% certainty match to the firearm.

It makes my head hurt, but I sometimes try to understand how a convicted murderer like Abu-Jamal attracts such a freakishly dedicated flock of jackasses who maintain his innocence despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. But this is standard operating procedure for moonbats. Any means that will revoke or weaken the rule of law, specifically laws that they don't like, is to be pursued.

Wild assed conspiracies seem to be the mother's milk of liberals. They just happened to latch on to this insane Mumia titty and are working it for all it's worth. The efforts to have a street named after Abu-Jamal are an attempt to legitimize his protestations of unfair treatment at the bar.

This is a list of the lunatic conspiracies that the liberals insist denied their murderous poster child a fair trial. Some of them are:

1) The bullet that killed Officer Faulkner was a .44 caliber bullet, while Jamal's gun was a .38 caliber.

Wrong, just.... so wrong. There was never any evidence that another weapon was used. Police backup was there in minutes as Officer Faulkner had previously called in for assistance. Mumia's revolver was recovered at the scene with the spent cartridges still in the gun.

2) Several "eyewitnesses" saw someone else shoot Officer Faulkner and then escape up an alley.

Where are these witnesses? Obviously the Philadelphia Police Department's "Witness Intimidation Unit" has successfully kept these people silenced for over 25 years. These cops are amazing. Long after they are retired or dead they continue to scare the crap out of people.

3) Mumia Abu-Jamal was denied his right to self representation, in violation of his Constitutional Rights. Mumia Abu-Jamal's court appointed attorney was admittedly incompetent and incapable of mounting a defense on Jamal's behalf.

Can't have it both ways. Either mount your own incompetent defense or let the State do it for you.

4) The ballistics evidence used to convict Mumia Abu-Jamal was flawed. The police failed to test Jamal's hands to see if he had recently fired a gun and they never "sniffed" Jamal's gun to see if it had been fired.

This one is actually funny. Of all the guns I remanded to the crime lab, I never sniffed a one because I didn't want to get my sniffer blown all to hell. You treat every gun as if it is loaded. That means keeping your nose and all other body parts well away from the business end of the thing.

The whole ridiculous mess needs to be flushed. Just like Mumia's internal organs after the prison doctor performs the post-execution autopsy.
In 2008 I received this email from my FOP Lodge:
New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police
Lodge 59
Middlesex County Sheriff's Officers

The Fraternal Order of Police National Delegation in attendance, voted unanimously to begin a boycott of persons, products and companies associated with the supporting of convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. In case you don't know, he was convicted in the 1981 killing of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner under overwhelming evidence.
The act was an especially brutal and sadistic murder that still haunts the family, friends and coworkers of Officer Faulkner. The New York Shields, a police brotherhood organization, presented Officer Faulkner's family with a Medal of Valor at their 1999 Police Memorial Breakfast.
Convict Abu-Jamal has written a book, "Live from Death Row," and attempted to place himself in a celebrity status as a result of his criminal behavior.
Others have supported his pathetic attempt to gain stardom and freedom, all the while spitting in the face of Officer Faulkner, his family and every single law enforcement officer in the United States .
The F. O. P. has announced the formal boycotting of the following:
1. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Products (donators to a defense fund for the killer).
2. Actor Paul Newman, and his products (an outspoken supporter of the killer).
3. Actress Susan Sarandon (supporter of this convicted killer).
4. Filmmakers Spike Lee, Oliver Stone and John Landis (supporters of the killer).
5. Writers Norman Mailer and Joyce Carol Oates (supporters of the killer).
6. Super model Naomi Campbell (supporter of the killer).
7. Musicians Sting, David Byrne and Michael Stipe of REM (supporters of the killer).
8. The Backstreet Boys who are performing"free" benefit concerts for the killer's defense fund.

As a side note, one of their "benefit concerts" scheduled for Baltimore, MD had to be canceled when Baltimore police officers refused to work the overtime shifts for site security at the concert.

As you may not know, a tape recorded statement made by this heinous convicted killer, was played at the spring graduation commencement ceremony at Evergreen State College, in the State of Washington, June 1999. This resulted in over 800 graduates walking out and another two dozen turning their backs during the killer's three minute diatribe of hate.

The F.O.P.'s position is getting widespread coverage in the media, as well it should. The members of the New York Shields stand with our fellow brothers across this country in strongly supporting this boycott and honoring the memory of slain Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner.

Coming soon to a theater near you -”A Bridge Too Far: Life in the Fat Lane.”

It's The Malice, Stupid!

The NJ Governor blocks two traffic lanes all by his lonesome.

I guess it always boils down to credibility. Do you or don't you have it?

We are so used to politicians denying any culpability in the scandal du jour that claims of embarrassment, betrayal, humiliation and "they lied to me" fall to the wayside like boyfriends from Madonna's bed.

The latest email revelations for the GWB fiasco only serve to illustrate how fleeting are the aspirations of our most ambitious politicians.

From Fox News:
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie publicly apologized Thursday for controversial lane closures last year that were arranged by his associates as an apparent act of political revenge, and fired a top aide who was at the center of the scandal.

"I come out here to apologize to the people of New Jersey," he said. "I am embarrassed and humiliated."

The governor added: "I am stunned by the abject stupidity that was shown here."

The governor is trying to get a handle on the scandal, which could threaten the potential 2016 presidential candidate's political aspirations. He's also facing various legal inquiries. The U.S. attorney's office in New Jersey confirmed Thursday that it is now "reviewing" the matter to "determine whether a federal law was implicated."

Christie stressed Thursday that he was not involved and that while his political style is tough, "I am not a bully." He said repeatedly that he was betrayed by his staff.
At least he didn't say, "What difference does it make?" Maybe if he was a Clinton or a Kennedy dame he could get away with that.
Christie maintained that, until this week, he did not know his staff was involved in the incident last September, when lanes at the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee, N.J., were closed for four days. For months, Christie faced accusations the lanes were blocked in retaliation over Mayor Mark Sokolich's refusal to endorse him for re-election last November.

Christie sounds like he is trying to pass himself off as a victim. His actions belittling the allegations and slamming his accusers when the traffic on the George Washington Bridge was turned into a shambles belie his claims of victimhood. He revels in that sort of confrontation.

The Governor got caught. If his people pulled this kind of horrendous stunt targeting an entire city, then they have done something like this before ... and they have done it many times. You just don't go from zero to sixty when playing political games, there is practice and malice involved. And this prank was chock full of malice. I have no doubt that it has been employed before against others.

I say impeach the prick. He is supposed to visit the City of Fort Lee on his New Jersey Apology Tour. If I were the Mayor, I would have my entire police department on hand to lock his fat ass up for criminal negligent homicide. A 91 year-old woman died because an ambulance could not reach her in time due to traffic congestion caused by the actions of his Office.

And here come the lawsuits.

States' Backlash

Some states are considering legislation aimed at preventing the NSA from spying on their citizens. California, Missouri and Arizona  are among them.
US News & World Report:
A bill introduced in California would deny NSA facilities access to water and electricity from public utilities and outlaw NSA research partnerships with state universities.

A bipartisan team of California state senators introduced legislation Monday that would prohibit the state and its localities from providing "material support" to the National Security Agency.

If the bill becomes law, it would deny NSA facilities access to water and electricity from public utilities, impose sanctions on companies trying to fill the resulting void and outlaw NSA research partnerships with state universities.

Companies with state contracts also would be banned from working with the NSA.

"I agree with the NSA that the world is a dangerous place," state Sen. Ted Lieu, the bill's Democratic co-author, said in a statement. "That is why our founders enacted the Bill of Rights. They understood the grave dangers of an out-of-control federal government."

Lieu said the NSA's surveillance programs pose "a clear and present danger to our liberties."

"The last time the federal government massively violated the U.S. Constitution," he said, "over 100,000 innocent Americans were rounded up and interned."

[...]A similar bill was introduced in Arizona by state Sen. Kelli Ward, a Republican, in December. Ward described her bill as a preventive strike and a way "to back our neighbors [in Utah] up."

The OffNow coalition of advocacy groups is urging Utah lawmakers to pass their own version of the legislation to override the city of Bluffdale's water contract with the NSA's $1.5 billion Utah Data Center. No legislator has publicly announced they will sponsor the bill.

Better Off Being A Plumber

Since 2011, humanities majors at UCLA are forcibly disassociated from classic Western European thinkers (mean old dead white guys) and force fed the Newspeak socialist, gender-sensitive, hand wringing BS that passes for history in liberal colleges. These colleges are poisoning the minds of our children; they are slam dunking future generations into useless automatons who cannot think outside the herd.

From The American Thinker:
Where previously, undergrads would have to take one course studying Chaucer, two for Shakespeare, and one on Milton, a "revolt" by junior faculty forced "a mandate that all English majors take a total of three courses in the following four areas: Gender, Race, Ethnicity, Disability and Sexuality Studies; Imperial, Transnational, and Post-colonial Studies; genre studies, interdisciplinary studies, and critical theory; or creative writing."
The implications are frightening. This trend will not reverse itself. People who get postgraduate degrees in gender studies or post-colonial exploitation are only able to find employment in liberal colleges, or else in establishments that require the placement of frozen hamburger patties on a hot surface.
