Kansas City Murder

For .....'s sake, these are eighth graders.
A pair of eight graders stabbed a disabled mother to death as she was cleaning her car then propped her body up in the driver's seat before going for a joyride, police say.

The suspected killers, aged just 13 and 14, are accused of brutally stabbing mother-of-one Tanya Chamberlain, 43, to death with a pocket knife in the early hours of November 1 in Kansas City.

The teens, one of whom is a Boy Scout, then allegedly put her body into the passenger seat with her feet propped up on the dashboard before taking her car on a joyride.

According to KCTV5 Chamberlain was disabled because of a 'medical illness', though the station did not give any more details.
More here.

These are the suspects.
Surprise, surprise.
Animals. This is getting so damned depressing.
Ya think this will get much attention from the American media?

Once Again Islam Proves It's The Religion Of Peace

Guess what Islam wants to do for France: forget all about your baguettes and brie, it's time for felafels, beheadings and humus in gay Paree.
Paris (CNN)Scores of people are reported dead after what are being called terror attacks across Paris. Police early Saturday freed hostages at a concert hall where more than 100 people may have died. The attacks seemed to be planned to hit areas where many people would be gathered on a Friday night, officials said.
Story here and here. At least 142 dead and more to come.

From the Guardian:
  • A state of emergency has been declared across France, after at least 140 people were killed in terrorist attacks around Paris.
  • Shootings took place in a number of locations around the capital, including at least two restaurants and the Bataclan concert hall, with further explosions –reported to be two suicide attacks and a bombing – outside the Stade de France, where the national side were playing Germany in a football match.
  • About 100 people were taken hostage at Bataclan in the 11th arrondissement, in what is thought to be a coordinated attack. Security forces have now killed two attackers in the Bataclan concert hall but police report at least 100 people – many of them young people attending a rock concert – are believed to have died there.
  • French president François Hollande has ordered the closing of the country’s borders to prevent the escape of the attackers, who have so far not been apprehended.

And of course there is no reporting of a linkage with Islam.

Remember, Obama wants to admit 10,000 of these idiots to America.

When I worked the road there was one beat (the old 50 car)where we had constant calls (sometimes three or four in one shift) to a man dying of tertiary syphilis. He was losing his mind as the disease attacked his central nervous system. It wasn't pretty. I saw him a short while before he died. He was screaming.

Bye, Bye, Barbie

We've been waiting two months to get this going.
We finally got to say good bye to our almost 60 year old Barbie bathroom.
No more pink.

The tiled walls were almost two inches thick with wire mesh and cement. The floor was even thicker. It took four men two days to rip it all out.

Bathroom in a bag. Actually almost sixty bags. This picture is only half the debris.

 Last night everything was gone.

Just before they laid the new subfloor I had them check the downstairs bathroom fan vent, that's the white four inch vinyl pipe in the floor in the pic above. As I suspected, there was a bird's nest in it.

As of five o'clock this afternoon, the old cast iron baseboard heaters are gone, the supply and return lines capped, insulation is going up, toilet rerouted, new subfloor is in and we're ready for plumbing and lights.

Fantasy Fortunes Are Exactly That, Fastasies

I am so sick of the gambling commercials that pollute the airwaves during football games. As the adage goes, "A fool and his money are soon parted," and the fantasy football crowd seems to be well represented in this respect.

Appaently the NYS Attorney General has also had his fill:
The New York State attorney general on Tuesday ordered the two biggest daily fantasy sports companies, DraftKings and FanDuel, to stop accepting bets in New York, saying that their games constituted illegal gambling under state law, according to people with knowledge of his investigation.

The cease-and-desist order by the attorney general, Eric T. Schneiderman, is a major blow to a multibillion-dollar industry that introduced sports betting to legions of young sports fans and has formed partnerships with many of the nation’s professional sports teams. Given the New York attorney general’s historic role as a consumer-protection advocate, legal experts say the action will most likely reverberate in other states where legislators and investigators are increasingly questioning whether the industry should operate unfettered by regulations that govern legalized gambling.
More here. Of course given NY's track record, a few well placed campaign contributions could have made this all go away.
