Why God Created Chain Saws

The WereWeiner

Body wax?!?! Noooooooooooo!

I wonder if the latest entry in to the New York City Mayoral contest is a wereweiner, flashing his junk during the full moon then returning to a semblance of normalcy. Sorta like Lon Chaney Jr.with a full-body wax wearing only a banana thong.
Sorry Lon, I know that hurts.
Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011.

Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center.

According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.”
So, three days of outpatient psychiatric evaluation and this social media wand waver is transformed into the new Wonder Weiner. Outstanding.
While Weiner did not disclose his diagnosis, he told the New York Daily News that the Center was critical in his “journey” to becoming a “new man.”
I'll help with the diagnosis: a case of advanced narcissism coupled with smartphone incontinence.
“It wasn’t an addiction thing,” he told the Daily News. “I mean, it was just a place to get away and to meet people…who might be able to help.”

In his resignation statement, Weiner said that his main priority upon stepping down was to “heal from the damage that I have caused.” Weiner told the Daily News that he “didn’t go to rehab anywhere” – simply that he worked with a referred therapist at the Center over a few days.
Thank you Wonder Weiner! YOU have to heal from the damage YOU caused to OTHER people.

Yep, NYC needs more people like you.

Pray For Our Armed Forces

My grandfather (WWI), father (WWII)  and brother (Vietnam) all served in combat in the Navy. The Navy Hymn never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

We honor all who have served and those whose lives are yet in peril.
Eternal Father, return our loved ones to us safely.

Obamacare In The Military

There is something to be said about people trying to craft a massive undertaking be it social policy or submarines. I wonder if the Spanish Navy told their legislature that they'll have to build it first to see if it floats?

From RT:
Spanish engineers, who already spent some $680 million on designing the new generation S-80 class submarine, say it is a major “technical innovation.” There is just one problem the calculations show – if submerged into water, it may never come up again.

The Spanish media has been furiously discussing the errors made by the state-owned Navantia construction company, which has spent about a third of the huge $2.2 billion budget only to produce an ‘overweight’ submarine that is not able to float.
Don't fret, they'll be fine. Just keep Mooshell off the ship...

 ...unless they need the ballast.

Home Of The New York Caliphate

Hey Gov. Cuomo, if you're so worried about violence in our State, how about sending a few hundred Troopers to Hancock, NY, to Investigate this festering carbuncle?
From Law Enforcement Today:
In Hancock, NY an Islamic community that sits on 80 acres of land has decided to form its own government. They call their community: The Town of Islamberg. They have their own mayor, deputy mayor and five town council members. None of them are elected, of course.

They even boast that their “town” provides departments of education, medical, finance and land development services.

This Islamic compound has truly become a city-state. Though not recognized as a legitimate township by the City of Hancock, this Islamic community nevertheless enforces its own laws on the “citizens” within its borders. They do so by using the iron fist of Sharia law.
I interviewed a member of this camp, which sits deep in the Catskills Mountains of upstate New York. The Islamic group that has established this camp is part a network known as Muslims of the Americas (MOA), which has documented links to Al Qaeda.

MOA has established similar villages in nearly three-dozen locations nationwide, with other prominent camps found in Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, California and Tennessee.

The man I interviewed, Ali Aziz, painted a shocking picture of what life is like to live inside these camps and how many of their members engage in terrorist training activities. Aziz, an Egyptian Muslim, worked as an undercover informant for eight years for the New York Police Department (NYPD). During that time, he lived on MOA camps and worked closely with MOA leadership, all the time supplying the NYPD with information about illegal activity on the camps—including guerrilla combat training.
This mess is about three hours from my house.
[...]Aziz provided this shocking information: MOA has created a secret jihadist army, similar to a guerilla-trained militia, that is ready to attack American citizens “at one word” from their leader, Sheikh Gilani.

One of the main purposes of the camps is to provide guerrilla training for the young men—and in some cases the women—to be prepared for jihad. A videotape that I obtained exclusively shows MOA members being trained on the Hancock camp, shooting guns, pretending to attack with knives, practicing slitting throats, and strangling victims. This chilling video is proof that MOA compounds have been used to train Islamic terrorists for combat.

Aziz confirmed that the camps have stockpiles of illegal weapons.

Aziz also confirmed what my research had already shown: That the MOA’s policy was to encourage members to collect as much public assistance as possible, and the more children they had the more assistance they received, much of which is returned to Sheikh Gilani in Pakistan
.
This is a true threat to the safety of millions of New Yorkers. But all Cuomo and his liberal democrats can do is remove people's ability to defend themselves.

Why Are These Men Still Alive?

England: two black Muslims murder an off-duty soldier in broad daylight by hacking him with meat cleavers.
Clutching a bloodied meat cleaver after executing a soldier on a crowded street, he delivers a chilling message of hate.

‘You people will never be safe,’ he declares in a clear south London accent. ‘An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.’

In broad daylight, he and an accomplice had just repeatedly stabbed and tried to behead an off-duty soldier in front of dozens of passers-by
.
Words fail me.

So Sad, So Very, Very Sad

I did something this evening that I haven't done in a long time. Instead of scrolling though my litany of favorite blog sites, I spent some time just hitting the "next blog" option on the blogspot menu bar.

I had forgotten just how personal the internet is. The digital high-ways and by-ways are filled with slices of people's lives; photos galore(many surprisingly well done), snippets of hospital life, police work, family doings, kids growing up, parents dying, obsessions, betrayals, marriages, graduations, celebrations, disappoints and of course, heart break.

One site stopped me could when I read this.
That was just the ugly cherry on this awful sundae of suck. I spent my day turning the spaces which two days ago were our sanctuaries back into boxes.
Her marriage had failed. Apparently she still cares for this man and partly blames herself for what had transpired. The last post she wrote was almost a year ago and I wonder how she is doing.

I left a little note...

IRS Division Chief Will Plead the Fifth

In perhaps a not so surprising turn of events, the lawyer for Lois Lerner has announced that his client will invoke her Fifth Amendment rights in order not to incriminate herself as a result of her pending testimony before a Congressional Committee investigating possible IRS abuses.

From the UK Mail Online:
The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service's tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs.

The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them.

Lerner's defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny applied to conservative nonprofit organizations that applied for tax-exempt status beginning in 2010.

She also will decline to say why she didn’t disclose what she knew to Congress, according to the LA Times.
Events like this make me wonder what back channel conversations or events are taking place. These events could include White House purchases of 55-gallon barrels of industrial strength Kaopectate because Obama has got to be s**ting himself. Watch to see if a porta-potty suddenly appears on the back of his golf cart.
Lerner 'has not committed any crime or made any misrepresentation,' Taylor's letter read, 'but under the circumstances she has no choice but to take this course.'
Secret Service folks. That's right, the President is playing through thank you. Give the man a Mulligan and an Imodian A-D.

UPDATE:
As Ms. Lerner has already submitted testimony before the Committee, she may not be allowed to take advantage of her Fifth Amendment rights. From RealClear Politics:
REP. TREY GOWDY (R-SC): Mr. Issa, Mr. Cummings just said we should run this like a courtroom, and I agree with him. She just testified. She just waived her Fifth Amendment right to privilege. You don't get to tell your side of the story and then not be subjected to cross examination. That's not the way it works. She waived her Fifth Amendment privilege by issuing an open statement. She ought to stand here and answer our questions.
Life's a bitch and so are you honey.

When An Old Soldier Dies

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.

And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew whereof he spoke.

But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For ol' Joe has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a Soldier died today.

He won't be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.

He worked and raised a family,
Going quietly on his way;
And the world won't note his passing,
'Tho a Soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth,
Their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing,
And proclaim that they were great.

Papers tell life stories
From the time that they were young
But the passing of a Soldier
Goes unnoticed, and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution
To the welfare of our land,
Some jerk who breaks his promise
And then cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow
Who in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his country
And offers up his life?

The politician's stipend
And the style in which he lives,
Are often disproportionate,
To the service that he gives.

While the ordinary Soldier,
Who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal
And perhaps a pension, small.

It is not the politicians
With their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger,
With your enemies at hand,
Would you really want some cop-out,
With his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier
His home, his country, his kin,
Just a common Soldier,
Who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his likes again.

For when countries are in conflict,
We find the Soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles
That the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor
While he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage
At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline
In the paper that might say:
"OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
For A SOLDIER DIED TODAY."

Thanks Charley!
