Sends shivers through me every time I hear his say tear down this wall. To think the State Department removed those words, and Reagan said them anyway.
Reagan stood up against his own speechwriters and advisers to say what was right. This type of character is sorely lacking in the Obama administration.
It's Painful to watch Nickie, knowing what agenda powers the wheels of America today and for the next few years....
The liberals were wetting their pants at the prospect of going eye to eye with such such a failure regime in Reagan's time. They'd have rather spent trillions upon trillions dancing around the cold war. We did spend 7 trillion just on the Nuke sub program.
The liberals are once again going to spend S*loads of money accomplishing nothing and wetting their pants again.
Reagan stood alone against pretty much all his advisers ... It is not too different to what we find today where the party rank-and-file stand against leadership that is insulated from life outside the beltway.
And oh ... I will never forget ... never ... that Colin Powell was one of those who urged Pres. Reagan to take out the "tear down the wall" reference. Powell was and is the "wind-tester", even back then.
But hey ... what could a little political correctness and playing nice with enemies hurt, right?
Maggie helped a bit too. The wall had one minor advantage; whenever confrontied by marxists liberals or their fellow travellers it was very easy to ask " if communism is so bloody great, why do they need to keep their people walled in ? ".

Woman, the comparison is heartbreaking. Where are the patriots?
Bill, imagine that... A man who puts principle above politics. I miss him.

Opie, the Obama administration lacks, among other things, the Spirit of our grandparents.
Coffee... perked precisely. Beautiful.
Kid, spending money certainly does seem like the goal.
DC... Luckily, our enemies has begun to love and honor us.
Nickie:
Thanks for posting his. I wonder if anyone mentioned President Reagan at the ceremonies in Germany.
Lady... In a word, no.

Carly will be a good senator.
Boxer was not.
I wish I could have served under this man.
Gives me shivers. One of the greatest speeches of all time.
"....tear this wall down!"
And they did.
