THE SLAUGHTER SOLUTION - Kiss your country good-bye. The Marxists are trashing your Constitution.

The House Democrats will use the "Slaughter Solution" to pass Obamacare without a vote on Senate bill. WITHOUT A BILL. This corrupt government has spit and defecated on our Constitution. Think of the millions of Americans who have given their lives to defend that Constitution. The Marxist Democrat Party is poised to steal our country!!!

Here comes the Democrat Party
Slaughter of the Innocents

I think Loise "dentures" Slaughter's idea is hooey. Smacks of desperation. I don't think the Dims will go for it. Besides, it's illegal, right?

This president and his congressional cronies are despicable and pathetic. It's unbelievable they'll go to these lengths to pass a bill we don't want. I can't wait for November!

This is HORRIBLE and distressing, Nickie!
I hope these creeps can be stopped. I can't stand them anymore.

They're so desperate and can't stand the idea of not getting something through. The worst part is that if they didn't insist on doing this in one giant bill, they'd have something passed by now.

But hey, we don't know what's in it. We need them to pass it so we can find out what's in it. Isn't that what Pelosi said?

There will be riots in the streets if they do it. If I'm wrong, then this country has rolled over onto its back in a sign of submission. Then America will truly be dead.

Well folks, although this is politburo-style tyranny, it isn't, in fact, illegal (in this case, that would mean unconstitutional). There really is nothing in the Constitution that states that either chamber, Senate or House, MUST vote (except to specifically say so on impeachment + conviction, requirning 2/3 votes in both chambers). Each chamber is the sole maker of its own rules.

The ONLY way to actually prevent this Constitutionally, or for that matter any action in either chamber, is to NOT have a quorum present (which is a simple majority in the House; I'm not too clear on the Senate).

So in order to stop this, 41 Dems would have to walk out of the House with all the Republicans, leaving (please check my arithmetic), one member short of a majority present. I seriously doubt there are that many principled Dems left in the House.

Still, the rule itself has to be voted on, and they're kidding themeslves if they think it will provide any "cover." It's painfulyy obvious that a vote for the rule change = a vote for the Senate bill. I mean, duh.

Anonymous... Thanks. I hope you're well.

Your informed comment is splashing mud all over my hyperbole. Watch it!

Bravo, Nickie.

I'm a fan.

It wasn't such an informed comment after all Nickie. Missed a big one:

Article I

Section 7.
All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other Bills.

Every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a law, be presented to the President of the United States; if he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the objections at large on their journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the bill, it shall be sent, together with the objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a law. But in all such cases the votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and nays, and the names of the persons voting for and against the bill shall be entered on the journal of each House respectively. If any bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a law.

Every order, resolution, or vote to which the concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the same shall take effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the rules and limitations prescribed in the case of a bill.

So I was wrong. A vote IS required.

I'm afraid that this is just the tip of the arrogant socialist iceberg. When they have completed the healthcare takeover, which they will, they will move to follow the same process to pass Cap & Trade legislation, Climate legislation, green job legislation, and environmental legislation that will tie our hands, and reduce our liberty exponentially. The cat is out of the bag, there is nothing left fore them but full speed ahead. We are in a world of hurt, because this group of political sociopaths don't care about anyone or anything except passing the "Socializing of America" agenda into history. They are focused on that end, regardless of the means needed to get there. I can see that there is going to be real problems down the road - so my sugestion is to prepare now. And let me leave you with this sobering thought. Why do you think gun sales have skyrocketed over the past 18 months? I can only think of two reasons, and neither of them bode well for the future... God Bless Us All!

Anon, don't feel bad. We Americans are products of our liberal educational institutions and they have hidden constitutional law from us for decades.

Nickie, When I read your headline about the slaughter solution, I translated that to mean:

The government has pissed away all the money to take care of seniors and in a desperate act, has decided the only way to relieve themselves of the medicare and social security liabilities is to kill off the seniors through denial of service.

Oh, and if your blood pressure is too low, do a little checking into state pension plans for state workers. In California for example, state workers retire at 55 with full benefits and most of their salary, prison workers at 50.
Based on current life span, that's a 35 year vacation on the taxpayer.
And that's not unique to California.

It's not sustainable, but how exactly will it end?

Woodsterman (Odie) said...

I keep hearing this, but how does that work without a vote. I would think the Republicans could sue right away to get it to the Supreme Court.

The States are also dropping out of this mess. One officially and 33 following. It looks as though the states aren't as arrogant as Washington.

We the People won't give up.
