"Are You Ready For Some ..."
Gee, I really like the spin and excitment that introduction puts on things. I'm definitely going to use it more often, but you really have to shout it out.
Chefs: Are You Ready For Some Linguini and Clam Sauce!
Dentists: Are You Ready For Some Root Canal!
College Bursars: Are You Ready For Some Tuition!
Internists: Are You Ready For Some Sigmoidoscopy!
Back to business. The GOP is asking that Obugger appoint a special prosecutor/counsel to investigate US Attorney General, Eric Holder, on whether or not Holder lied to Congress over his awareness of the "Fast and Furious" debacle currently being ignored by most of the media.
"F n' F" is responsible for the deaths of perhaps as many as two US Border Patrol Agents and 200 Mexican citizens by providing thousands of firearms to illegal straw purchasers who then delivered the weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartel members.
{...} House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, was sending a letter to President Obama on Tuesday arguing that Holder cannot investigate himself, and requesting the president instruct the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.Hmmm, lying to Congress. Is that like Lenin calling Stalin a dirty commie?
The question is whether Holder knowingly made false statements of fact under oath during a Judiciary Committee hearing on May 3. At the time, Holder indicated he was not familiar with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program known as Fast and Furious until about April 2011.
"I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks," Holder testified.
However, newly discovered memos suggest otherwise. For instance, one memo dated July 2010 shows Michael Walther, director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, told Holder that straw buyers in the Fast and Furious operation "are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to the Mexican drug trafficking cartels."
Other documents also indicate that Holder began receiving weekly briefings on the program from the National Drug Intelligence Center "beginning, at the latest, on July 5, 2010," Smith wrote.
Bonus Points: Does anyone remember who the guy at the top is?

Have oblabber appoint the prosecutor ?
Isn't that like asking oblabber to release his grades or real birth cert?
Hey, the investigation should be a no brainer. The testimony is all over the internet.
Anyway, the guy with the glasses is, I believe, Clark Kent. Beyond that, don't know
If Holder didn't know about (sign off on) it, then the ATF is way out of control. And, the Repubs tried to shut down the ATF once before-Clinton's Watch----I remember something about Waco=Show Time! To prove they were needed.
Kid - I'm not sure how the selection process for special counsel goes, but I dont think he can appoint Barney Frank or Pelosi.
TSWS - I have had dealings with the ATF. Some of their people are fine. Some are absolute whackjobs. Getting anything through their bureaucracy is a nightmare.
Oh yeah, we're ready for some Special Counsel...and it's about time.
CL - well then, pull up a comfy chair, I'll get the popcorn and soda.
The guy in the middle is Archibald Cox. The guy on the right looks like Elliot Richardson. The guy on the left was either Judge William M. Byrne or Charles Fahy. And I still can't remember where I left my iPod.
Ah, those were interesting times.
Let me get this straight, Eric Holder is responsible for the death of two border patrol agents. While Hank Williams is responsible to offending two people. Hank Williams is the one that got fired?
Nickie - Bingo. Yes indeedy those were interesting times. Hopefully these current times will get very interesting also for Obugger and his hellish cohorts.
Odie - Nice summation. In today's politically correct world, what you say is more important than what you do. If we don't get this turned around, in a few years Hank and the rest of us swill be sent to political education camps or some other liberal gulag.
