The New Dark Age Approacheth

Psalm 2:1
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Two weeks ago, Union College in Schenectady, NY, received Lord Monckton's "Climate of Freedom" presentation. The environmentalists may never be the same.

From What's Up With That:
THE NEWS that Lord Monckton was to give his “Climate of Freedom” lecture at Union College in Schenectady, New York, had thrown the university’s environmentalists into a turmoil. The campus environmentalists set up a Facebook page announcing a counter-meeting of their own immediately following Monckton’s lecture. There is no debate about global warming, they announced. There is a consensus. The science is settled. Their meeting would be addressed by professors and PhDs, the “true” scientists, no less. Sparks, it seemed, were gonna fly.
You have to read this. Monckton takes the environmentalists to the wood shed and spanks the crap out of them. He simply destroys them but does so in a manner that speaks very much to his own intelligence and gentle manner.

Afterwards, Monckton responds to a question from the author, Justin Pulliam; IMHO it is a particularly disturbing reply given all that is transpiring in our culture today..

I asked Lord Monckton what he had thought of the strange conduct of the professor, particularly when he had abused his authority by asking his students to assent to the correctness of a statistical technique that he and they had known to be plainly false.

"We shall lose the West unless we can restore the use of reason to pre-eminence in our institutions of what was once learning. It was the age of reason that built the West and made it prosperous and free. The age of reason gave you your great Constitution of liberty. It is the power of reason, the second of the three great powers of the soul in Christian theology, that marks our species out from the rest of the visible creation, and makes us closest to the image and likeness of our Creator. I cannot stand by and let the forces of darkness drive us unprotesting into a new Dark Age."  ~ Lord Monckton

The three Powers of the Soul are Memory, Intellect and Will.

You'll have to put that in Plain-Speak for the masses to understand it.

Gorges - the NEA and the US Dept. of Education have taken care of that. Every thing needs to be written in crayon for the masses.

You may recall that in the movie, National Treasure, there is a dialogue between the curator and our hero while they are in the changing rooms. She says, "Yea, but people just don't talk like that any more" and he replies, "But they think like that" (not a direct quote; but close enough)

Lord Monckton speaks like that, a certain eloquence which elevates the human spirit toward that which we all can appreciate.

Amazing how in a generation and in an almost satanic fashion, Memory, Intellect and Will have been usurped by Amnesia, Ignorance, and Bondage.

TFS - and we are much the poorer now that that style has all but vanished. It spoke of an earlier time when words really meant something and you had better be prepared to back them up with facts or fists.

Ansy - sad but ohh so true.
