My father, Ernest R. Raines, was a prisoner of war at Stalag XVII B from October, 1943 to May, 1945. Once liberated, he spent some time in Camp Lucky Strike near La Havre, France. He has written a book about his experiences and I am trying to get it published before he passes on. In editing the book and hunting for photographs I could use, I found your Little Sergeant blogspot. I would like to use the photograph of La Havre, that appears on your blogspot. Would you give me permission to use the photograph? We are self publishing the book so I couldn't pay for use of the photo, but I would be happy to send you a copy of his book once it is published.
Thank you for considering my request.
Sincerely, You can reach me at arleneraines@hotmail.com
