They're Pissed

An estimated 2,000 protestors showed up in Albany to manifest their displeasure at NY governor Andrew Cuomo and the NY legislature's new restrictive laws on firearms.

If I lived up there I'd be damned to comply.

I don't think being pissed will get it. Since it is a state, they have a chance in the courts, if I wouldn't hold my breath. Besides, the courts are no longer about justice, being quite happy not to just suggest they will split the baby, but to indeed split it, meaning the courts negotiate not between good and evil, nor really for justice, but between a bit of good and a bit of evil (at best). And the constitution is lost to the courts, lawyers, and others, save when applied directly as law code (which is just a... bartering point for most lawyer folk). The constitution seems to be as effective in restraining actions and lawyers and courts as our southern border does at keeping out illegal aliens.

I'm not seeing any prospect for righting these evils. Not with a broken electorate and cowed Supreme Court. Urhm, without reading between the lines. I'm just not sure enough even know HOW to do so anymore.

they rushed it through and boned it up, now they have to redo it for cops or they will also be illegal. if they rewrite this law, i think it will be the average citizens chance at appeal. the reason is the cops could have high cap mags on duty, 7 rounders off.

they will settle on 10 is my guess for everyone.

Kid - our local sheriff already admitted that it would be impossible to enforce these new laws.

Doom - I doubt there is any chance our liberal judges would see these laws as unconstitutional.

jayson - then now is the time to put pressure on our local reps to squelch this nonsense. It was a travesty how they rushed this through both houses.

As long as Cuomo has his armed bodyguards your argument is wasted.
