Where's The Protestors Now??

Where are they?

Where's the so-called enlightened youth who wanted to be free?
Where are those who didn't trust the establishment?
Where are those who didn't trust anyone over 30?

Where are the Abbie Hoffmans and the Chicago Seven?
Where are the students rising up in solidarity against an oppressive government?
Where's the Power To The People people?

I guess they all got what they wanted and now we have to pay for it.

When I was in SE Asia, the music we liked best was anti-war stuff. On the other hand, we thought the anti-war people should be burned at the stake.

WoFat - IMHO this was the signature song of the sixties. The battle lines are being drawn again, but not how the hippy radicals would have imagined.

I started off trusting the government. Then I worked there and realized that I couldn't.

Integrity is rare in politics.

To be honest, I think most of them or their ideological proteges are in power. While they always said this wasn't what it was about, only a slight amount of thought made me realize this is exactly what they were about.

I have said, since figuring it out, that Manson, as in Charles, was the epitome of their movements, which really simply came down to them having and using power however they saw fit, and for it's own sake, without morals, ethics, reason, or anything else upon which human advancement is based.

Nihilists of the highest order. Neitzchen to the end and from the beginning. A belief that they are superhumans, above and beyond the rest of us, and to prove it they must murder, and get away with it, publicly and more officially even being "better", the more dead the greater the proof.

Power to the people ... or is that liberals?

LL - we were all virgins in that respect.

Doom - they're running the show now, have been for decades. The elitist mindset allows for no argument, no deviation from what they feel is best for the rest of us unfortunates.

Dang, they never give up either.

They actually do give up, Sig. It's just that no one has had the balls to shove them, individually, into closed rooms and vent a bit on them. It really does fix things. Especially when they reach out to their peers and find that not only did they get treated, but that the cops circular filed the claims.

I don't know if that is still possible, but my guess is it is probably worth a shot. Politicians, judges, media, academics, take your pick. Sort of the Fight Club (movie) way.
