Mom Has Passed

My mom died yesterday morning. We were expecting this as she has been in hospice care for the last six weeks. We all feel that she waited until her granddaughter's wedding was over on Saturday and slipped her mortal coil early Monday morning. I had a feeling that when we left MD last month that it would be the last time I that I would see her.

I am Mom's executor and have to leave for MD. My wife is sick today or else we'd be on the road right now. Posting will be pretty sparse for another bit.

Mom and Dad are both gone now. This is a picture of happier days.

Sorry for your's and the families loss. I know that will be a long drive, but it is a drive we all have to take now and then.

I've offered a prayer for you and your family, for safe travels, for your grief, and wisdom to sort all as you must. We weren't born with the knowledge or will to just do some things. With His grace we somehow muddle through. Take care of yourself and yours and travel well.

Sorry to here this. Once your mother is laid to rest you'll have lots of time while waiting for bureaucracies, banks, insurance companies, and the like.

We'll keep an eye on this place for you while you're gone.

My sincere condolences.

I'm sure that she is happier now than she was laying in that hospital bed.

What a great picture! My Dad (aged 94) passed away last month. It is NEVER easy to let them go...

I'm so sorry! It is hard to lose your parents, but it happens. My hubby lost his dad when he was 16, and he was the oldest of 8 kids. His mom died last year at 95, and never remarried. My mother and step-dad, and my dad and ste-mom are all gone. We are now the 'older' generation.

Praying you will have a safe journey. My mom and step-dad lived in Annapolis.

I lost both my parents in 2015 - Dad in February, Mom in November, right before Thanksgiving.

It still hurts.

You have my prayers.

Condolences to all. Do not bother with posting until you have recovered (if that be the right term) from all.
I hope your wife gets well soon. A safe trip to you all. God bless.

I hope you were able to spend some time with your Mom that you treasure and have those memories. In regards to my Mom, I find those memories particularly valuable. I'll miss talking to both of them. I don't have one for Mom, but this one is for Dad.

Many sympathies on the passing of a great Mom and a great couple of parents, Sig. Made 3 trips to hospice today, so I feel your pain. Good luck on the trip to MD. I'll be flying back East, myself, in a few days, so I'll remember to pray for your endurance during the estate marathon. God bless.
