Send In The Clowns - Right Now

I doubt they were hitting them with water balloons and squirting flowers.
Clowns brawled with animal rights protesters under a circus big top in San Bernardino Friday night, witnesses say.

Hundreds of spectators watched the fight break out when workers allegedly tried to stop the activists from forcing their way inside after the Ramos Bros. Circus show began.

Two protestors were arrested following the melee, while two circus employees were injured when the fight broke out at 8:08 p.m., according to a San Bernardino Police Department spokesman.

Danny Glover Needs to STFU

There is a very good reason why actors are handed scripts that they must memorize and then faithfully recite back to the camera. Because when they open their pieholes and try to utter a cogent thought that has not been prepared in advance for them by someone who actually has a functional neuron, very bad things happen. That is the reason why Danny Glover has verbally soiled himself.

Thus Sprake Zaradouchebag:

"When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I'm sayin'?"

No ... no we don't, not at all.
(Skip to the 1:00 mark for the beginning of Glover's verbal defecation.)

The devastation in Haiti is the result of a sudden shift in the earth's tectonic plates.

Momma Gaia did not have a screaming migraine because of something that did or didn't happen in Copenhagen.

The following diagram will illustrate the location of hundreds of earthquakes that define the tectonic plates. Notice how the Caribbean Sea is involved in a plate that comes out of the north area of the South American continent like a horn and stops just short of Cuba.

And that is what happened to Haiti.

Senate Health Care Update

EDITED TO ADD: White House confirms that Pres. Obama will go to Capitol Hill tomorrow to meet with caucus Democrats in a rare Sunday legislative session. This is this weekend's surprise. They are pushing ahead with this thing AS HARD AS THEY CAN! According to Politico's Carol Lee.

Every day this legislation is delayed right now is crucial. There are only 14 working days between the Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks, so whatever causes this issue to be unresolved when congress goes home for the long winter break will be a good thing. People need time to contact their legislators again and tell them specifically which provisions are NOT welcome.

WASHINGTON -- Fence-sitting senators in both parties are stepping up efforts to reshape health-overhaul legislation, including a push Friday by Sen. Joseph Lieberman, the Connecticut independent, for more aggressive steps to rein in the rapid growth of health-care costs.

The efforts haven't yet produced consensus for the bill. But they suggested the accommodations Democratic leaders will likely need to make with hesitant lawmakers to get the overhaul bill through the Senate.

Sens. Joe Lieberman, left, Susan Collins and Arlen Specter discuss bipartisan health-care proposals Friday.

Voicing concern that "too much of the debate has been divided along partisan lines," Sen. Lieberman joined with Sens. Susan Collins (R., Maine) and Arlen Specter (D., Pa.) to unveil proposals designed to contain consumer and business health costs. Among them were measures to streamline billing for care and penalize hospitals for spreading "avoidable" infections.

"We can and must do more," said Sen. Lieberman. He caucuses with Democrats but has so far withheld his support for final passage of the legislation -- in part because he opposes a government-run insurance plan.

Sen. Olympia Snowe (R., Maine) is working with Democrats on a plan to boost competition among insurers in a new insurance marketplace. Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D., Ark.) is working on a proposal to bolster the Medicare trust fund with revenue raised from a proposal to limit the tax deductibility of compensation paid to insurance executives.

Hi, We're from the 'Youth for Social Equality Collective' and we're here to help you

Useful Idiots no longer Useful

Joe at No Pasaran describes how the Swedes are handling the issue of Social Injustice.

The “Reclaim Rosengård” street festival, which was conceived as a protest against the social conditions in Rosengård, didn’t exactly go according to organizers’ plans. The event was supposed to get underway at 8pm on Saturday, but after about 15 minutes the activists who had gathered to participate were pushed out by Rosengård residents.

The activists' floats with music were also barred from entering the predominantly immigrant neighbourhood.

Wouldn’t it be nice if meddling lefty social pyromaths who were “acting in the interest of the downtrodden”, actually listened to the “downtrodden”?

Instead, the activists gathered in front of a nearby petrol station where they threw stones, bottles, and burning objects at police cars.
The activists' stated goal was to force a reduction in a police presence in the are. But Abu Hadis, one of the men involved in pushing back the activists, said Rosengård residents were of a different view.

The grownups’ response? Thanks but no, thanks.

"We who live in Rosengård want the police out here; their presence has had a calming effect for us and improved the area's reputation," he told newspaper Aftonbladet.

"We don't need drunken upper class kids to come here and speak on our behalf against our will," he added.

That’s funny, because neither do we, especially the unthinking promoters of fascism that call themselves “anti-fascist protesters” who are so deluded that they think that even the Swedish Police are agents of Fascism.
