I don't listen to or watch Glen Beck. And with all the opinion-mongering about yesterday's Washington, DC rally, you don't need mine. What do you think of THIS?
At least this guy can turn a phrase. One of the black dudes that writes an op-ed for the Cincinnati Enquirer is so inept at politics and race issues as to make you believe he is a put on. Can't remember his name and not worth looking it up.
But every article he writes reads like this "Bush!@ *Squawk!! Right Wing Racists! Squawk** Whirrr-click-click BUSH!* Squawk!** Racists! ClickWhirrrr.."
They're not doing their brothers and sisters any good. Maybe they aspire to take al or jesse's place one day and fill their pockets keeping black people as slaves to the democrats.
I have my issues with Beck, both substantively and stylistically. However, he deserves credit for being an important cog in the ongoing awakening of America. Funny, but I think Beck would say he is almost a one-man band, or at least think it. But still ...
I listened to a lot a of his speech, and it was very good. Hundreds of thousands of Americans showed up, and one would think that deserves some respect, if notice of what those Americans hold dear.
The left is losing every substantive argument today. This is what happens when they get their chance. This time reminds me a lot of the late 70's.
Guys like Herbert just get more and more hysterical, and they unwittingly make our case over and again.
You can pick and choose any sentence taken out of context to make anyone look ridiculous. This is Cheap Shot City from another whiny lib. Go to your room Herb.

Read it and not surprised at all.
Everything he accuses he just did himself.
Do liberals even have mirrors anymore?

Chris, they do, but they do not shoe up in them.

Ahem ... don't "show" up in them ... as in mirrors.
Wow, that is some of the most painfully wordy and self-important writing I've ever seen.
I mean you blog post not the NY Times piece.
Talk about "crybabies", my goodness.
Thank you, George. I was over-wrought. Not good at all, as you say.
Now, what's your take on the rally and the Herbert piece?
Poor George, he cain't heppit ... He was born on 3B and thinks his erudition needs no defense.

DC, my prose deserves a Pull It Surprise.
I have no idea what he means in Para II above, except maybe that I'm copying the NYT style.
Actually, the painful wordiness and self-importance, the dumb similes and images, were more like Time or Newsqueak or anybody at Journolist.

sig, we can be almost certain that George isn't a Glen Beck fan, and he agrees with Herbert. I also think George is female.
