Finally

It was 0300 hrs a week ago Monday. After landing at Raleigh, our soldiers were driven to Fort Bragg. They exited about a half dozen buses and marched onto the parade grounds. About 200 soldiers of the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade finally surveyed something they had waited a year to see again. About 400 family, friends and loved ones were going absolutely nuts.

And so was I.

The party will take place when she comes home on extended leave next week. We met some great people at Ft Bragg and hope to maintain contact with them. It truly was a madhouse when the brigade got dismissed from formation. A great time.

We had a fantastic week in NC, a beautiful state. Spent a day at the beaches in Emerald Island and got burnt to a crisp. Just like a newbie.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern while Danielle was deployed.
