R.I.P. Dick Clark

New Year's Eve is not going to be the same. Although he almost looked embalmed for the last few years, I still enjoyed seeing him. Like me, he was a Syracuse University graduate. Unlike me, he was a media star - American Bandstand. He was the host from 1956 through 1987. In 1972 he started his Rockin' New Year's Eve gig.

He actually looked and sounded better on this past year's New Years Eve. God rest his soul. Prayers...

He certainly had what it took to stay in the public's good graces for a long time. He will be missed.

Dick Clark always seemed to me, a true Class Act. He's missed.

Teresa - I almost always look for D. Clark on New Year's Eve but didn;t this past year. He was the only one that had any class.

Shock - he did emerge from the payola investigation unscathed. He gave the public what they wanted and kept his ego out of it apparently. Not always a formula for success but it certainly worked for him.

Andy - Amen. As we glide through the years we say that more and more often.
