Maybe That's Why They're Homeless

New housing complex for homeless vets runs into problems.
Syracuse, N.Y. - Al Salinas, 59, a disabled veteran, and his wife were living in their car before they moved in May into VanKeuren Square, a new $11.5 million apartment project for homeless veterans at 2223 E. Genesee St.

"At first it was beautiful and wonderful," Salinas said. But before long some tenants began urinating and vomiting in the hallways, fighting, bringing prostitutes into the building and openly buying drugs on the property, he said.

Salinas said his wife is afraid to leave their apartment because she doesn't know who she will encounter in the hallway.

"Now she's saying, 'Maybe we were better off in the car,'" Salinas said.

Build it and they will come. Give it for free and they'll piss in the halls.

This is the way all liberal, pie in the sky utopian plans work out. On paper, what's more compassionate than providing a home for a homeless person?

In Real-ville, USA, things don't work that way. If you don't work for something, and have some skin in the game, you'll end up pissing on it.

Rich dad buys spoiled high school kid a 1969 Pontiac GTO. Poor dad helps his poor high school kid restore a 1969 Pontiac GTO. Who is the kid most likely to wreck the GTO?

You can take the kid out of the xxxxxx

This is an ongoing thing with section 8. They complain that they would act better if they lived in a better environment. BS. They've tried this all over the place. In Cincinnati, they took a modest golf course community, nice - made it section 8 and within a year the place was completely trashed. The section 8 people are Trash. Period. You could move them into the Waldorf-Astoria and the place would be puke city in a month.
Good Grief.
Man I hate libtards.
