This is too rich. Republican candidate for Congress gets arrested for assaulting an aggressive reporter, loses the support of three newspapers and still cleans the clock of his Democrat opponent in a Montana special election.

GOP candidate wins Montana House election after being charged with assault
Republican multimillionaire Greg Gianforte won Montana's only U.S. House seat on Thursday despite being charged a day earlier with assault after witnesses said he grabbed a reporter by the neck and threw him to the ground.
Gianforte, a technology entrepreneur, defeated Democrat Rob Quist to continue the GOP's two-decade stronghold on the congressional seat. Democrats had hoped Quist, a musician and first-time candidate, could have capitalized on a wave of activism following President Donald Trump's election.

I'm sure that many Montana voters didn't blame Gianforte for bitch-slapping the nasty mainstream media reporter. In any event, he won. The reporter should be happy it wasn't Wyoming. He'd have been shot and fed to a bear.
LL - Wyoming will hopefully become contagious.
Yes, absolutely wonderful. Tells you just how important, trusted, and valued to inform our opinions, the "news" has become. As I watched that unfold, I suggested that, if he was elected, it will show that people won't be putting up with even verbal assaults from lefties, "credentialed" or not. He has a good constituency. The only sad thing is that he apologized. What he did was right, and righteous. There is no need to apologize for that.
The other thing? That is a beginning. I absolutely will not, myself, put up with assaults. Whether it's because I support Trump, know America is better by heads over heads over shoulders, or because I am an old white man. I will not back down. They are in MY country.
Doom - from one old white male to another, piss on them.
That reporter damaged himself. I hope it's provable. Filing a false police report. Let's take em DOWN.
Kid - that would be sweeeeet.
