Settle This Once And For All

How much more of this "they did, they didn't," do we have to put up with? Is this some kind of political strategery to make all of America sick to death of fake news?

It's like slowly pulling a scab from a half-healed wound.
Come on, give it a good yank, take it off and let the blood indictments flow..
Republican congressional investigators expect a potential “smoking gun” establishing that the Obama administration spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the president-elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee this week, a source told Fox News.

Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretappedhim in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.

The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.
More scab pulling here.

More CIA Deep State Stuff

Oh goody, I stumbled across another rabbit hole. The Vault 7 WikiLeaks leaks are yielding a surprising amount of fruit.
WikiLeaks released Vault 7, a slew of CIA files on surveillance and hacking, encrypted with the password “SplinterItIntoAThousandPiecesAndScatterItIntoTheWinds”, a phrase that President John F. Kenndy used a month prior to his assassination. Kennedy hated the CIA.

Speaking in a History Channel documentary years ago, Samuel Halpern, author of “The Assassination of JFK,” claimed that the threat against JFK’s life stemmed from Kennedy’s frustration with the CIA, which he believed was becoming a “state within a state.”

It's an interesting read, especially since the 40,000 documents pertaining to the Kennedy assassination must be released to the public this October. Supposedly there are 3,600 documents that have never been released. After fifty some odd years, it's time.
A special team of seven archivists and technicians with top-secret security clearances has been set up at the National Archives and Records Administration to process all or portions of 40,000 documents that constitute the final collection of known federal records that might shed light on the events surrounding JFK’s murder, POLITICO has learned — files that, according to law, must be made public by October 2017.

But the records’ release is not guaranteed, says Martha Murphy, head of the National Archives’ Special Access Branch. While the JFK Records Act of 1992 mandated the files be made public in 25 years, government agencies that created the paper trail can still appeal directly to the president to keep them hidden. And some scholars and researcher not to mention the army of JFK conspiracy theorists, fear that is exactly what will happen given the details about the deepest, darkest corners of American spy craft that could be revealed — from three inner workings of the CIA’s foreign assassination program and front companies to the role of a CIA psychological operations guru accused of misleading congressional investigators about alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald’s activities.

Trump And The CIA

To listen to President Trump's remarks to the CIA today (21 JAN 17) , skip to the 42:00 mark. His remarks last about 16 minutes. He is introduced by Vice President Pence.

He tells CIA personnel that he came to them on his first visit as POTUS because the media lies about his intentions and previous remarks he made about the intelligence community. He tells them that he is behind them 1000 per cent.

The CIA Is An Embarrassment

The CIA has taken the position that the Russian government has interfered in a US Presidential election by hacking into the emails of prominent Democrats and spilling the beans to various sources. They are doing this despite possessing no evidence that this has happened.

Rather, CIA officials cite circumstances that lead them to believe this. One circumstance is that the Republicans were not likewise afflicted by the likes of WikiLeaks, QED, those pesky Rooskies are at it again and wanted Trump to triumph.

Problem is, other highly regarded intelligence sources cite decades of analytical/intelligence experience and think the CIA is full of shit.
[...]We are being misled to believe that there is irrefutable evidence that Russia hacked the DNC and Podesta emails and the basis for this conclusion, we now learn, is that some unnamed analysts THINK that Russia is behind it because the only emails released came from the Democrats and excluded the Republicans.

The stupidity of this is stunning. When I was an analyst my bosses did not care what my opinion about anything was. I was to report the intelligence and comment on what we knew.

But it gets worse. The CIA analysts predicated their goofy analysis on a false premise– they “THINK” Russia breached the RNC. Think? There was a time that the bosses at CIA required evidence or sources. Speculation was unacceptable. But this goes beyond speculation. The CIA is ignoring the proven fact that the RNC Chair Reince Preibus and the RNC Deputy Sean Spicer say there was no breach whatsoever. In fact, they said the FBI came into the RNC, examined the computer systems and then confirmed that they had not been hacked nor breached. The failure to consider all facts is the cardinal sin of an intelligence analyst. On this point the CIA is guilty.
It is the considered opinion of one intelligence expert of note that:
This is more than an embarrassment; it is an indictment of how corrupt and inept the CIA has become over the last 20 years. It has become so thoroughly politicized that it is no more reliable then your mediocre Washington think tank. In my view the CIA should be dismantled. We need to start over. This is not an isolated error. The failures of the CIA over the years are significant. But those did not include meddling in a U.S. Presidential election. This is the ultimate irony. The CIA is accusing Russia of interfering in the Presidential election when in fact it is the CIA itself that is now crossing that line.
Story here, more here on how it appears that this was leaked information from an inside source, not hacked remotely by a foreign agent.

And right on the heels of the above comes this - a disgusted democrat gave up the goodies.
A Wikileaks envoy today claims he personally received Clinton campaign emails in Washington D.C. after they were leaked by 'disgusted' whisteblowers - and not hacked by Russia.
Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan and a close associate of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, told Dailymail.com that he flew to Washington, D.C. for a clandestine hand-off with one of the email sources in September.
'Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,' said Murray in an interview with Dailymail.com on Tuesday. 'The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.'

Need We Say more

The WashTimes quotes former CIA Directer George Tenet who states that Bill Clinton sabotaged the intelligence agency's anti-terrorism efforts prior to 9/11.
The Clinton administration had bankrupted the intelligence community and refused to let the CIA prioritize anti-terrorism over other major priorities in the late 1990s, leaving the agency stretched too thin in the days ahead of the 2001 terrorist attacks, former Director George J. Tenet said in a 2005 document declassified Friday.

Mr. Tenet, who was head of the agency at the time of the Sept. 11 attacks and has taken severe criticism for not anticipating and heading them off, said in the document that he took the threat of Osama bin Laden very seriously, and put major effort into trying to penetrate al Qaeda, beginning as far back as 1998.

In one revelation, Mr. Tenet says those efforts averted off an earlier “major attack” planned by al Qaeda for some time in 1999 or 2000. The document gives no other details.
Let's hear it for Hillary who follows in her husband's hoof-prints.
