Christmas

What a strange season this is. We have slipped into Winter.

Andrew Wyeth said:
I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone
structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it,
the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath
it, the whole story doesn't show.
This nation has slipped into Winter and night. Our Founders weep as patriots are forced to witness the rape of Lady Liberty. Military veterans will approach this Christmas season in much the same way one must move forward despite the death of a beloved child. Citizens should cower in shame that over 200 years of the American Experiment died on our watch, pulled into the undertow of ignorance, selfishness, weakness and Socialism.

But, as Wyeth says: "Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." What doesn't show is Spring when seeds of discontent will burst forth with the sweet fruits of vengeance. Spring will enter majestically to a symphony of sharpening sabers and gathering armies. As buildings are rebuilt brick by brick, the American Revival will be achieved one small battle at a time. Spring is coming. Prepare for battle.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.

I pressed the wrong key or something, so if you get two of these messages, please delete one.

"The American Revival." I like that. The light at the end of the tunnel. A wonderful post, Mr. Goomba. You sure can write your a$$ off.

The Cambridge don in The Bridge on the River Kwai used to warn: "There's always the unexpected." In these dark days, I've been counting on that. Figuring that the Good Lord wouldn't abandon a people who have done so much for the world.

So here's an unexpected event that I am going to regard as a little Christmas gift. News of it comes via Legal Insurrection.

Now I'll go toast to the American Revival and this bit of unexpected news.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and to all the good folks at the News Network.

2 Sam 11:1
In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.

Let us prepare during the winter, during the cold, silent, sterile times when our souls contemplate harsh realities and plan what must be done to preserve this Union - or render it asunder.

Framkly my dear, I don't give a damn which way it goes; but I will live as a free man and I will not bend the knee to Washington, DC, or Albany or any other foul nest of power mad politicians.

Lots of people are waiting and watching.

Beautiful and tender are your words.
Merry Christmas.

Rightly, thanks for the kind wishes and the valuable link.

"There's always the unexpected".... Perfect.

Sig, there may be a warrior hero in our future, but I can confidently predict it won't be a politician.

Anonymous said...

Wetzy, it may be time for the Silent Majority to raise their voices and unsheathe their sabers.

Thanks, VL. The very warmest Christmas wishes to you.

Despite the heartening collapse of the warmongers at Copenhagen I fear that England too is slipping into permanent winter.
After the forthcoming route of the Socialists at our General Election, Traitor-In-Waiting Dave Cameron will do no better, leading us in thrall to the evil EU.

Still, never mind, 'tis the season of goodwill and all that. Merry Christmas Nickie and best wishes for the New Year.

Thanks, banned. I wish there was some way to tie that referendum around Cameron's neck.

America is like lava right now. It looks cool and black on the outside. Wait yntil you see what is happening under the surface.

I too shall paraphrase a quote, from the Scottish Declaration of Arbroath on April 6, 1320--

...for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under tyrannical dominion. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Steve, what this nation needs is more patriots like you. The day may come when we'll be able to count just how many we have.

The question is: Bang or Whimper?

Anonymous said...

Nonny, that's the question. What's the answer?

Nickie, Nice to see your footprints on the interwebs again.

I can't find a concise clip of it so I'll have to go from memory...

Peter Sellers, -an illiterate lifelong gardener and butler who finds himself unemployed after his employers die - in the movie Being There.

In a scene where he happens to be in the White House talking to the president who is most concerned about the economic situation...

President: So, you feel there will be growth in the spring ?
Sellers: Yes Bobby, in the winter, growth dies and must be pruned away, then in the spring, new growth appears and covers the landscape.
President: So then, growth will be strong.
Sellers: Yes Bobby.

Kid, exactly!

And it's good to again be stomping around the halls here.

My favorite: "As long as the roots are not severed, all is well. And all will be well in the garden."

Nothing will happen. The American people are too soft and spoiled.

...About 97% of Americans you are right,

It is the 3 percent, the 9,246,499 that will join the fight...

Dillinger, it's been a difficult year. I predict we'll turn the tide in 2010.

Thanks for your good wishes, my friend.

Nice one, Toasty. I love your attitude. Thanks for being in our side!

Like Dillinger, I wanted to thank for the warm comment on my post; Godspeed on your continuing pilgrimage, and i hope you and the Mrs. have a wonderful Christmas!

I'm filing my pitchfork like Gomez files his fence...

Nickie; You have a better memory than me.

I mostly remember the part where he says "I like to watch" ;-)

Outstanding post, Brother Nick. Yes, Winter is here but Spring is coming.

As for me, I live among the evergreens in Texas.

Anonymous said...

Velcro, what a wonderful image of you filing the fork. Me, I'm spending a small fortune keeping the cauldrons of oil boiling.

Kid... What a coincidence. DC has a tattoo on his forearm that says the same thing.

DC, I've never considered tumbleweed an evergreen.

Thanks so much to the team for covering so beautifully during my wanderings. You folks moved well beyond simple posting, and raised the tone of this site with your political poetry.

Merry Christmas to the Goomba Crew: Nickie, DC, Rhod and the lovely Opus #6 (by that I imply that Nickie, DC and Rhod are NOT lovely).

And to the people who love freedom and who won't let this nation pass into the morass of socialism under their watch.

Sunn, thanks for stopping by with your Yule tidings.

TF, you know that we return the sentiment, my friend.

"Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show."

But i don't think it's the American Revival. i don't think i'm being cynical...i think i'm just believing Scriptures -- the something that "will burst forth with the sweet fruits of vengeance" is GOD Himself, in the Person of CHRIST JESUS.

America's beginning as that Experiment was as a CHRIST-believing nation, but though there's a remnant of this, most have gone astray...waaaaay astray. So what else can a righteous GOD do but chastize His beloved Experiment? Or maybe what you're saying is that if GOD "spanks" this baby hard enough, it'll wake up screaming itself into a Revival?

Peace for Christmas, afterwards cry havoc. This is only a pause.

If you need encouragement, think of the noseweed Grayson who demanded of Holder that he jail a critical blogger for five years without trial, and that Interpol is operating without scrutiny or restraint in American.

Some of us might not be coming back.

TSWS,... Best Christmas wishes to you and yours.

Noseweed Grayson was my stage name throughout the 60's and 70's.

Yes, there will be casualties. You, more than most, understand that sometimes the only reward for love and sacrifice is a martyr's death.

Happy Christmas, my revered friend.

WE wait, Nickie ... to rise from the ashes of the socialist's "making history" and take this country back from them ... with our checkbooks and our votes. Their time is over. Our time is coming.

Welcome back, Nickie. It's very good to have you around again.

LL, I resemble that remark ... Merry Christmas.

Man's greed and a need for power got us to this point.

I'm going to, and I urge all others to, enjoy your family, enjoy your friends, eat too much, relax, and come swinging after. We haven't lost yet, and they will feel the sleeping giant come November.

For now ... Merry Christmas Nickie and to everyone else.

It's not "my" theory...i just put all my eggs in GOD's basket -- His Word and the Word made flesh -- CHRIST. And Job 42:2, "i know that You can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted."

i checked out Barney Frank on Wikipedia (i'm an ignoramus on politics as you've probably figured out), and i see that he's one of the bad guys. Well, so was Paul...but we can never know GOD's plan for any person until the "fat lady sings" -- oops...is that political incorrectness? How 'bout 'til the trumpet sounds?

OK, rln... That fat comment may get you banned. This blog is often referred to as Corpulent Central.
