This is the difference between a democracy and a republic. In a democracy the majority can vote for themselves other people's property. In a republic, there are laws against that type of theft.

They can't be serious?

I didn't know that "people's rights" included stealing personal property from fellow citizens. Didn't the creator who gave us our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness also tell us that we should not steal?

Jails, No Homes.

Free Beatings.
Free Cavity Searches.
Free Fingerprinting.
Free Community Showers with Bubba the Cell Block Love Machine.
Free Aloe Cream Lotion for soothing handcuff abrasions and "other" irritations.

Bring it.

This is ridiculous. More people demanding housing that they are unable or unwilling to maintain. Just flop in there and burn the sumbitch down when the hallways and basement gets filled with shit. Same nonsense with Habitat for Humanity. People buying crap; built by volunteers that fall apart in less than 5 years. Then they cry for someone else to fix it for them.

If people would learn to live within their means there wouldn't be such a large foreclosure/eviction rate. People in this country live on credit, credit, and more credit.

Then when they can no longer make all the payments for having leveraged everything they "owned" to buy crap, go out to eat, and have party time whenever they wish, they complain that the people they owe actually want their money.

HELLO?!

It is precisely because of people who live on credit that our housing costs as much as it does anyway. The value of a house is really how much people are willing to pay for it. When people are willing to take out a 30-year mortgage to "purchase" a 1,400 square foot house for $225,000, that's how much a house that size is going to sell for.

If people would refuse to place themselves in debt like that, the same house would go for MUCH less!

It's the reason our cost of living is so high period. People want things GIVEN to them instead of earned. Like the "living wage" which helps absolutely NO ONE! Within six months of an increase in the living wage the costs of goods have increased enough to cover the expense to the employers. Those who received the "raise" are right back where they were.

Of course all the OTHER people who DIDN'T get the extra money given to them are in worse shape.

You know there are a variety of nasty insects that could be placed into said properties that would force the squatters to evict themselves.

That would be a much funnier media event.

Hope you had a nice holiday, nickie.
