I don't think nations who have surrendered their democracy can vote it back. Even if the mechanism somehow still exists and would not be molested between now and whatever voting might go forward, between the new values of the people and who is allowed to vote, there isn't a way for their people to stay on track through the pain necessary. Of course, and yes, I worry about the U.S. for the same reason. If, as he noted, we do have a functioning constitution (for now), and some real protections (and parties who could and probably would defend our protections, well, and the right to bear arms as a last resort).
By the way, how well have European revolutions worked out? French, Russian, German? I don't know but I think the only revolution, of sorts, that can help Europe is if people abandon their faith in government and go back to actually believing in God.
Though he thinks America is more free, I think it's only a temporary thing. As for revolutions, the only kind that works is the kind that seperates the heads of bureaucrats from their bodies, and I don't think most Americans or Europeans have the stomach for that (yet).
I agree with the fellow, except when he thinks America has it any better.
. We've had a dictator the last 2.5 years and will have the imbecile for another 1.5 . We've had even worse imbeciles passing laws about HC without reading them, that contain more laws and grants to governmental powers in every category of life you can think of. . We have a media that resembles monkeys tossing their feces from their cage everyday at those who chance to visit the zoo (news pages) . We have NO checks and balances for no opposition party exists at present . We have additional branches of government, not voted for by the people, who operate above the 3 branches we thought we had. (See EPA)
This isn't America anymore and few seem to realize.
I fear it will not be with a bang of guns and fearless but futile opposition that America finally joins the the rest of the world in soulless socialism, but with a whimper.
Remember that the National Socialists were voted into power in Germany during the Great Depression. People will give up everything if only for a crust of bread and empty promises.

Pat spot on with every word, as usual.

Nickie, he has the ability to hit the nail on the head every time!
