Just Pissing In The Rhine

1945 - Seems to me that no one got their panties all in a wad when General Patton answered nature's call while crossing the Rhine.

US Marine snipers urinate on dead Taliban.

Too bad the liberal media doesn't give our fighting men the same amount of slack they give Obama when he pisses on the Constitution.

What's wrong with pissing on people who blow up women and children?

The alternative would be my first choice!

WoFat - Yup, once they're dead, who cares? They beheaded American soldiers, hung the burnt carcases of American contractors from bridges and no one in the media cared.

Nickie - perhaps we should have our soldiers deploy times determined on a piecemeal basis? Create so many room temperature Tallyban and you go home.

After killing someone, is there really a way to disenfranchise them further? Come now. I will only say that I suspect this is less than uncommon. On both sides, or any side given any war.

Besides, a good sniper or group of them is far more valuable than some perceived social faux pas. I, personally, have seen far worse. And lived to enjoy it.

Doom - killing a person is a pretty effective way of sending them the message that their existence is no longer appreciated and will be tolerated no longer.

Whatever happens to their bodies after their death is a message to their friends that the same applies to them.

Of course this does not apply in democratic controlled America cities where even the disenfranchised dead can still vote.

When I served in the military, there was a painting on the wall of the training facility I went to everyday. The caption on that picture reminded service members that Americans don't like to go out looking for fights, but when they do they serve honorably and humanely. Our military has a long history of treating its own and then coming back and treating the medical needs of our enemies once our own soldiers are taken care of after battle. It is the American ethos, and considering that I wasn't impressed with these Marines. If you think they are the only ones, they aren't. They will be made full example of as our military seems to be losing its respect for life, and I remind you of the consequences of that in history.

Bill - in my experience, these attitudes usually start at the top and work their way down. All the same, the hysteria expressed by the SecDef, SecState and the media is as lame as the behavior of the Marines. If they reacted as strongly to Muslim atrocities I might have a little more respect for their opinions.

And that they have no knowledge or experience from which to form an opinion makes it that much worse.

Wait a minute. When we captured anyone who was fighting out of uniform they were lined up and shot. A soldier who fought out of uniform was not given rights and treated like any other soldier in uniform.
These folks are terrorist who do not fight according to any rules of engagment that I am aware of even today. Our mistake is trying to treat them with any respect at all. You want to fight without uniform and hide behind women, you pay the price. It should not be a worry about torture because they have no rights, we can line them up and shoot them or should be able to. The world should unite to make this flat out the law of the the planet. And if you target innocent people with terror, you are a rung lower yet.
