Discussions On Racism Phrowned Upon In Philly

Philadelphia Mayor Nutter (what an appropriate name!) has called for an investigation on an article published by the Philadelphia Magazine entitled, "Being White In Philly." It is a fairly worded piece about Caucasian reactions to rampant black crime and racism. And Nutter went nutzoid.
Mayor Nutter calls the article’s tone “disgusting,” and he’s asked the Human Relations Commission to investigate some of the sensitive racial issues explored in the piece.
But what is truly remarkable are the almost 3,000 comments submitted for these articles.

People are truly sick and tired of the double standards used to excuse immoral behavior. Indeed, the content of a man's character is made all too clear by the way he lives his life. Soaring illegitimate birth rates, poverty, violent crime - all are symptomatic of a black culture that is deeply flawed and corrupt. No where is this more apparent than in our nation's major urban centers.

Horror stories abound yet are glossed over in the press and MSM. Much of what passes for crime reporting will not identify the race of the perpetrator. Same for political affiliation whenever a democrat gets sent off to prison.

IMHO,the pot is already simmering and ready to boil over. People will vent and describe their frustration when not threatened with retribution for "hate speech." The question now is: how much more needs to take place before we reach that level?

I notice that people are scared to comment when I post articles about race. It's time we start standing up for TRUE equal rights, not minority privileges.

One group whose voices are rarely heard are those blacks who advocate self reliance, taking responsibility for one's own life and common sense. Yep, they exist and I've met quite a few.

Unfortunately they're largely ignored by the pimps of race based victimhood and the MSM. Too bad, but it is what it is.

It's all about forcing us into a mold - turn us into their idea of productive citizens. Make us afraid to speak our minds, afraid to want to protect our families, afraid to not pay outrageous taxes, afraid to worship our Creator and enjoy the remarkable freedoms afforded by the Constitution He gave us.

I agree with LL. There are too many inner city ratoids who are multi-generational welfare recipients. If I knew how to break that awful line of inherited mental mush, I'd give the information out for free.

Subvet - unfortunately, as you say, theirs is a voice that remains largely ignored. There is money to be made in racial extortion, the voices of moderation and reason have no place there.

WoFat - and that is by design. There are no "Oopsies, so sorry" involved here.

Don't blame blacks, or woman, or other minorities. Technically speaking, they couldn't have set this up. Blame two (one and a half, really) political parties who have decided to lower the bar so far that dress codes to quality hires are outlawed, while murdering the family literally and virtually. The race to the bottom was voted in, elected, over and over these last 9 decades by "compassionate" men, then people, who knew better but wanted a little slice of the "government pie" and would sell their soul to get it.

Watching someone, a whole society really, cannibalize themselves while insisting they are eating someone else, economically, socially, morally, is an amazing thing. And I am called deluded when I point it out.

Doom - I dunno. The politicians may have sold them a line of crap but they didn't have to buy it.

True, Sig, but if what is obviously true is obviously true? They didn't stand a chance at resisting. They merely are what they are. I would argue that was precisely designed into this modern paradigm.

Doom - they may of course be a predisposition to a certain outcome but for millions upon millions of individuals over many decades there was a choice to be made. The design was based on man's corruptibility.
