The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice.

Very true. Good quote.
The "good" bad guys, those who are good at their chosen profession(s), are seldom caught. When they are, it's usually by accident.
And I'll bet truer now than he thought.
Gorges - Mr. Lewis is a rich source of wisdom. I intend to use him more.
WoFat - they usually offer a token sacrifice when they have to. Some minor minion will have to pay the price, the rest of them skate free.
Odie - as we approach the End Times this will get worse. Bush's new world order is straight out of Hell.
