Save sports, I refuse to watch television because of the characterizations scripted by screen writers and portrayed by modern actors.
Behaving like a jerk and/or idiot is not funny.
It is a lazy way of getting laughs from stupid people.
There is a cost to this as our popular culture continues to auger it's way into irrelevance.

Television is made for three sorts. Women, children, and minorities. If you want to understand those, their inner beliefs and values, watch television.
Oh but... you say... my wife isn't like that. I only say, without knowing her, that she is probably no longer like that, you have altered her. Further, down inside, when she is thinking independently... you would be surprised how she thinks.

Couldn't agree more. Imagine 'the 40 yr old virgin' coming on TV in 1958. It came on here and got turned off before the 1st commercial.
The only 'comedy' left for popular culture people is idiots acting like idiots. You're right.
To me, it seems they have to do that to make the kids walking around today seem normal.
