I will just say that the very First concert I ever went to was the Doors when I was 15, and the only thing I remember was that while they did Light My Fire, women anywhere near the stage were throwing the underwear onto the stage. Morrison would occasionally pick one up and sniff it.
KId - my first concert had the Lovin' Spoonful, the Rascals and the Turtles. I once went to a Linda Ronstadt concert and threw my underwear at her. I'm still not allowed within 500 feet of her. It's not fair.
All good Sig. I used to ONLY go with the rhythms and feel, picking out words, often mistakenly. Then a couple of songs sunk my ego, and I... mostly go with words first, then decide if I can tolerate a song. Didn't care back when. Teen? 20's? Duh. :)
Sig94: Just laughing with you. I remember doing the same thing with countless other songs, just not that one! ha ha. It's nice to be able to follow the lyrics with Foobar2000 or other media player. I don't feel so foolish now and occassionally I find myself saying "So that's what they were singing!" ha ha

I think he does use both trust and touch. And, in some ways, they mean the same thing, so...

Doom - I wonder. So many times I liked the rhythm/beat and hardly listened to the lyrics. I do now.

"Trust me." ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha.
Good one.
allamerican - believe me, it's not the only instance where I look way back and say, "What was I thinking??"
