One Down, One More To Go

From the NY Post:

Escaped killer Richard Matt was shot and killed by the State Police deep in the woods of upstate New York on Friday afternoon, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The other fugitive, David Sweat, was being hunted by the cops in the wilderness area around Lake Titus — about 50 miles west of the Dannemora prison from which they escaped on June 6.

One sadist murderer is dead and NY taxpayers save about $45,000 a year, the cost to house a prisoner.

Even considering all the police overtime, it's win-win.

With the party atmosphere at the prison, it would seem that $45K per year for the BBQ's, the orgies and the booze would be a bargain. The guards can't shine lights on you at night, they don't want to disturb your slumber..... If I do something bad enough, I'm going to ask to be housed in New York.

LL - NY is the home of the expression, "I can do 20 years standing on my head."

I'm surprised people aren't lining up to get in. No prison uniform, you can sell your art work on the open market, I'm guessing that you can get an overnight furlough on the town anytime you want to, and possibly limo service... Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today, I wanna be a part of it - New York, New York

If they can get them both dead, with no losses, this might end up being a really good thing. If it weren't for the risks, more releases *cough* might be considered. You get rid of skank queen bureaucrats from the prison system, troublemakers on the inside, and reduce costs. Although, if they set up the releases, the escape wouldn't last as long. More like a clay, after the word "pull", and just a bit of air-time. *poof*
