Sign Of The Times ... The End Tmes

It's not so much that these individuals want to honor the Father Of Lies because, really, who cares?

It's that they feel emboldened, empowered enough to bring it all out in the open.

Like homosexuality, what was once was shameful and practiced in secret is now respectable.

And where else but in Detroit? A ruined city brought low by the demonic Democratic practitioners of socialist lies.

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – A group is planning to unveil an 8-foot-tall bronze statue featuring a goat-headed Satan in Detroit during a gathering that’s being billed as the “largest public satanic ceremony in history.”

The Satanic Temple has said Saturday’s private event will be open only to people with tickets, $25 each. Invitations to “The Unveiling” summoned guests to prepare for “a night of chaos, noise, and debauchery… Come dance with the Devil and experience history in the making.” The event location is not being announced publicly and is known only to those with tickets.

The group said the bronze Baphomet monument, which weighs about one ton and has never been seen before in public, “is not only an unparalleled artistic triumph, but stands as a testament to plurality and the power of collective action.” The statue, which backed by an inverted pentagram and flanked by statues of two young children gazing up at the creature, shows Satan with horns, hooves, wings and a beard.

Idjits. That ISN'T Satan. Such things will only anger the dark fallen seraphim. A pagan god? I'm not even sure that is the rep of a full pagan god, or just one of the hoof-footed minions of one. Pentagrams are warding signs against evil. Not sure about inversion. To be honest, as with a crucifix or cross, inverting doesn't change any properties (remember, one of the apostles, when they were crucifying him, had them do it upside down so as not to be confused with Christ... in a humble manner).

Idgits. Too stupid to be powerfully evil. But evil. Then again, if you think about it? There is no such thing as perfect evil. The most potent forms of evil merely are more without God. Humans aren't even capable. Actually, Satan isn't capable. But being spiritual, he isn't as abiding to flesh, all of which is God-stuff... Detroit you said? Then again, remember, when Moses went up for a bit, to talk to God, what did the people do? Idjits seem to be always and everywhere.

Doom - "Too stupid to be powerfully evil."

This is how evil masks itself, as a goat-headed monster rather than the oh so reasonable, well groomed, personable chap wearing the Brooks Brothers three-piece suit and Gucci shoes.

I think you give them too much credit. Albeit, stupid is quite often evil, when it is the goal. Public ed, need I say more?

Makes me want to pack up the family and make a bee line to Mo Town. A place where one can practice debauchery and degradation to one's hearts' content.

Actually, this statue notwithstanding, Detroit has been a hell hole (get it?) for quite awhile now. Anybody with anything whatsoever on the ball has long left the Motor City for greener pastures.

Question: if Detroit burned to the ground tomorrow, would anybody notice?

Fredd - I get a kick out of the photographic comparisons between Detroit and Hiroshima in 1945 and today. If we wanted to destroy Japan all we had to do was have them elect democrats during the war.

Sig,

Actually, that is what IS destroying Japan today. We forced them to allow women to vote, and enacted socialism. It hasn't timed out, but is well on the way.
