A Bloody Shame

Baltimore is enjoying a Renaissance of homicide, as is Chicago and Washington, D.C. This uptick in violence is almost the exclusive providence of blacks and makes the BLM movement a bad joke... no wait, a bad joke is a poor attempt at humor. This is not funny.

              Murders in 2015
Baltimore ................... 344 murders (90+% black)
Chicago ...................... 507 murders (80% black)
Washington D.C. ....... 162 murders

Last year these three cities  had 1,013 murders (preliminary stats - not UCR reports) in a total population of 3,344,238. This works out to a murder rate of 30.3 per 100,000 population.

Mexico has a murder rate of 21.5 per 100,000.

In contrast, New York City had a murder rate of 4 per 100,000. The three cities had a murder rate seven and a half times higher than NYC.

In truth, NYC with a population of 8.5 million had fewer murders (339) than either Baltimore or Chicago.

The overall murder rate in the US for 2014 (2015 will not be available for months) was 4.5 per 100,000. In 2014 the three cities with the highest murder rates in the country were Detroit (45.2 per 100k), new Orleans (41.4 per 100k) and Baltimore (37.4 per 100k). All were run by Democrats as are most large American cities.

I have some doubts. I keep thinking that the numbers are far higher, and always have been. It is just that, for whatever reason, either the reporting process is trying to be honestly used or criminals are no longer hiding the crimes. Perhaps a bit of both. Why? Who knows. On the "law and order" side, it might be an attempt to do "something" positive, in that actually scoring these things based on truth might, eventually, lead to some real change. Why this admin didn't think of this to start? Because it wasn't seen as cool by the bloods. As to why crimes aren't being hidden? Things are heating up. Civil and outsider wars, being fueled by the war in Mexico... I think they have simply lost control.

You simply aren't being painted a picture through rose colored glasses anymore. That's my donuts to dollars bet.

"...a Renaissance of homicide.." - I like that phrase.
