Liberal Judges' Priorities Are FUBAR

A senior citizen grandmother was finally released on $75,000 bond.
Her crime?

SAN FRANCISCO - After 12 hours, three judges and $75,000 in bail, Sandra “Susan” Merritt was finally released from jail Wednesday. Merritt turned herself in to California authorities to answer the 15-count felony charges brought against her by the State of California for her undercover work in exposing Planned Parenthood’s illegal sale of aborted baby body parts.

[...]Rather than investigating and prosecuting Planned Parenthood, which donated thousands of dollars to his political campaigns, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed charges against Merritt, claiming that her undercover video recordings violated California law. To date, no other citizen journalist or journalism organization has ever been charged with a crime for undercover recordings.

“We are dealing with corrupt politicians in the State of California who have their hands in the pockets of Planned Parenthood,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “Sandra Merritt did not violate any law and we will seek dismissal of these baseless charges.”

Of course the media is silent on Planned Parenthood's donations to the California AG.

On the other side of the nation, a Massachusetts judge set bail at only $2,500 for an illegal alien who already had been deported twice for two prior convictions on Class A felony charges. The new charge? Forcible rape.
A Democrat Massachusetts judge in a “Welcoming City” for illegal aliens set a low bond on a previously deported Dominican Uber driver accused of raping a Boston College student. She did so, knowing immigration officials were about to put a detainer on the suspected rapist. Predictably, he has not been seen since that day in court.

Prosecutors in the case asked the judge for a $100,000 bond and told her that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were working on getting a detainer on the alleged rapist. Instead, Newton District Court Judge Mary Beth Heffernan “insisted on $2,500 bail,” the Boston Herald reported in a scathing article.

The recipient of the small bail, Luis Baez (aka Pedro Valetin), is charged with raping the female college student three times. Reports indicate Baez (or Valetin) worked as an Uber driver using a fictitious name.

I'll bet everyone of these judges swore an oath to uphold the laws of the land. PC and touchy feely make for a weak country.

Odie - seems those vows are open to interpretation.

Kid - hopefully Trump will start replacing them with jurists instead of activists.
