Bring Up A Child The Right Way

Scripture informs us of this:
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
My wife and I will be having a conversation with our girls and one of them invariably looks at me and says, "Gee Dad, I sound just like you." This doesn't happen by accident.
The future is uncertain. That is an undeniable fact. No one can accurately predict all variables of any situation. For many of us parents, one of the biggest questions is: “Am I raising a child who will be a contributing member of society?”

As a child becomes a teenager, our influence over our child steadily decreases. I’m not saying that is right, nor am I saying it is a bad thing. Our children must experience things outside of our household to become their own selves.

Yet there are two ideals that we must teach our children if we want them to succeed and thrive as well-adjusted members of society. These two concepts are responsibility and consequences.

Better Off Being A Plumber

Since 2011, humanities majors at UCLA are forcibly disassociated from classic Western European thinkers (mean old dead white guys) and force fed the Newspeak socialist, gender-sensitive, hand wringing BS that passes for history in liberal colleges. These colleges are poisoning the minds of our children; they are slam dunking future generations into useless automatons who cannot think outside the herd.

From The American Thinker:
Where previously, undergrads would have to take one course studying Chaucer, two for Shakespeare, and one on Milton, a "revolt" by junior faculty forced "a mandate that all English majors take a total of three courses in the following four areas: Gender, Race, Ethnicity, Disability and Sexuality Studies; Imperial, Transnational, and Post-colonial Studies; genre studies, interdisciplinary studies, and critical theory; or creative writing."
The implications are frightening. This trend will not reverse itself. People who get postgraduate degrees in gender studies or post-colonial exploitation are only able to find employment in liberal colleges, or else in establishments that require the placement of frozen hamburger patties on a hot surface.

Sue Her Anyway

The 16 year old high school student who was forced to remove her NRA T-shirt has received an apology from the school principal. I'd sue the pants off her anyway just to make a point. It really is time to send a message to these asshats.

That's the difference between liberals and conservatives and why conservatives are losing the cultural battle. When liberals go after you they are like a pack of salivating wild dogs. They will tear you to pieces.  A conservative is all, '"Why God bless you! I'm so proud!"

Screw that.
Pound them into the ground. The school principal, Ms. Fricker, should be walking around with her ass in an asbestos suitcase looking for a fire hose.

ANAHEIM HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A high school principal has apologized for forcing a 16-year-old student to remove her National Rifle Association shirt last month.

Haley Bullwinkle, a sophomore at Canyon High School, said she was asked to change or face suspension because her T-shirt, which featured a buck, an American flag, and a hunter’s silhouette, violated the school’s dress code and promoted gun violence.

Bullwinkle’s father, Jed, emailed the school’s principal, Kimberly Fricker, about the situation.

Fricker responded saying that the gun on the shirt wasn’t allowed.

The principal, however, had a change of heart on Thursday. Bullwinke’s mother, Stephanie, said Fricker called her and said the teen can wear her shirt.

“She was very, very apologetic. She said they’re definitely going to be talking to the staff, training their staff on what is appropriate conduct and what is not. And that (Haley) can wear the shirt, so very happy. It was nice to hear from her,” said Stephanie.
