I've Got The Tractor Impound Blues

There's an old saying that goes, "Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel."

To this little slice of outdated wisdom you might want to add, "Or who owns the biggest tractor in town."

A farmer angry over a recent arrest surprised police in Vermont on Thursday by driving his tractor over seven parked police cars before driving away.

Roger Pion, 34, had been arrested last month for resisting arrest and marijuana possession before rolling his farm tractor across their vehicles, demolishing five marked cruisers, one unmarked car and a transport van, police said.

'We had nothing to pursue him with,' said Newport Chief Deputy Philip Brooks, who went outside to see seven of his fleet's 11 vehicles destroyed.

The word is, Orleans County Sheriff deputies are now slimming down through increased assignments to foot patrol.

Nobody was hurt. That's the thing everybody's got to cherish,' said Sheriff Kirk Martin.

Pion is faces seven counts of felony unlawful mischief and one misdemeanor count of unlawful mischief on suspicion of damaging the cars, state police Detective Trooper Lyle Decker told the Free Press.

[...]Martin estimated damage to the vehicles at more than $300,000.

Farmer Pion will also be looking for another occupation as there is no doubt his property will be subject to civil forfeiture to pay for the damage. Either that or he will have to grow an ungodly amount of beans and okra.

According to the Chronicle, Pion has an extensive history of encounters with local law enforcement, apparently over traffic violations.

A Peek Behind The Curtain

The Ulsterman Report has a great two part story on how Romney suckered the Obama campaign. Here's just a little bit of it -

WHI: It gets so much better…we are getting to the point where I really gotta tip my hat to Romney on this. Like I said…reminds me a lot of the Reagan team. Somethin’ they would have done.

…So we got Jarrett going crazy. We got Obama digesting what she is screaming at him. We got campaign staff overhearing all that. We got Plouffe scrambling to initiate his own internal in that state to corroborate the numbers that they THINK they stole from Romney. We got Axelrod playing dumb…the whole operation is getting’ its ass kicked by that polling data from that one swing state.

But all of this gets better…the real payoff is coming. You see, this all goes down early July…just after the holiday, right? That’s the timeline of all of this. Hits the fan over the course of about a week…week and a half.

And then what?

UM: You’re asking me?

WHI: Yeah – and then what? What happens to the Obama campaign right after? Think about it…a couple weeks after the 4th of July holiday…what does Obama say?

UM: …Bloody hell.

Today a federal judge ruled that Obama's political appointments high ranking thugs interfered with a DOJ investigation of New Black Panther voter intimidation.

Lies, lies and more lies from the Prevaricator-in-Chief.
If this administration was anymore transparent it would be a concrete storm window.

I would invest big time in Staples and OfficeMax, 'cause when Obama gets thrown out on his ass next November, you won't be able to find a paper shredder anywhere within 200 miles of DC. If Romney has any balls at all he will seal every office in the DOJ until the search warrants are executed. And I'd take a #9 iron to those poll clowns above.

Increasing attention is being paid to irregularities at the polls, and the legitimacy of efforts to minimize them. A federal judge just issued a ruling that will become part of this debate. As reported by Conn Carroll of the Washington Examiner, U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton “held today that political appointees appointed by President Obama did interfere with the Department of Justice’s prosecution of the New Black Panther Party.”

This concerns the infamous appearance of two New Black Panthers outside a Philadelphia polling place, dressed in paramilitary outfits and brandishing a nightstick to intimidate poll watchers and voters. It was an open-and-shut case of voter intimidation, confirmed by multiple eyewitnesses, but the Obama Justice Department inexplicably dropped the charges.

Watchdog group Judicial Watch followed the normal course of action for asking tough questions of Obama’s wonderfully “transparent” administration, suing the Justice Department to enforce a Freedom of Information Act request for documents concerning the New Black Panthers case. Judicial Watch won, and then sued for attorney’s fees. The Justice Department defended itself by insisting the documents procured by Judicial Watch didn’t prove there was any political interference in the NBPP case, so they shouldn’t be liable for the plaintiff’s legal fees.

Judge Walton’s ruling disagreed with the DOJ defense, saying, “The documents reveal that political appointees within DOJ were conferring about the status and resolution of the New Black Panther Party case in the days preceding the DOJ’s dismissal of claims in that case, which would appear to contradict Assistant Attorney General Perez’s testimony that political leadership was not involved in that decision.”

Government Motors Doing About As Well As Expected.

General Motors Co. stock fell 1.2 percent Wednesday, closing at $18.80, down $0.22, on worries about Europe — the first time the Detroit automaker's stock has closed below $19 a share since its initial public offering.

The Detroit automaker has seen its share price tumble by more than 52 percent since it reached a high closing price in January 2011 of $38.90, just after going public in November 2010. The company has shed more than $30 billion in market capitalization over the last 18 months, and now is worth about $29 billion.

Government Motors was all set to announce a new automotive division known as Obamamobile but cancelled when it was learned that the new division's initial offering, the Wookie, was extremely unbalanced in the rear end, pulled uncontrollably to the left and the exhaust smelled like burnt okra.

Master Criminal And Former New Jersey Governor Corzine Protected By US Attorney General

Those wondering why the Department of Justice has refused to go after Jon Corzine for the vaporization of $1.6 billion in MF Global client funds need look no further than the documents uncovered by the Government Accountability Institute that reveal that the now-defunct MF Global was a client of Attorney General Eric Holder and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer’s former law firm, Covington & Burling.

There’s more.

Records also reveal that MF Global’s trustee for the Chapter 11 bankruptcy retained as its general bankruptcy counsel Morrison & Foerester--the very law firm from which Associate Attorney General Tony West came to DOJ.

There's nothing funny about this. Corruption in high places is a trademark of the Obama administration criminal enterprise. The outright theft of taxpayer dollars should be the largest RICO investigation in the history of American jurisprudence. There's more.

A Little To The Left, Please

Joining forces with House Democrats, Republican leadership is planning to stab America in the back. But all is not lost, at least Boehner has decided not to waterboard us first.

When asked whether the House Republicans would permit or not permit funding for Obamacare in whatever legislation is enacted to fund the government after Sept. 30--when the current funding legislation runs out--House Speaker John Boehner responded that "our goal would be to make sure the government is funded," thus indicating that House Republicans do plan to fund implementation of Obamacare past Sept. 30.

Unless a special provision is put into the bill to fund the government past Sept. 30 that expressly prohibits funding specifically for the Obamacare regulation that requires health-care plans to cover, without cost-sharing, sterilizations, artificial contraceptives and abortifacients, the House Republicans, by funding implementation of Obamacare, will also be funding implementation of that regulation.

Apparently our elected representives have decidedto governus by movie titles. The funding of ObamaCare and its death panels will be re-released as "No Country For Old Men (Or Women)."

Boehner had best be careful that America doesn't re-release the movie "There Will Be Blood."

Feet Of Clay

A 900 pound statue of Joe Paterno was moved this morning (Sunday) from its place of honor at Penn State's Beaver Stadium. The decision to move the statue to a "secure" location was made by Penn State President Erickson ten days after a report by former FBI Director Louis Freeh was released. The report stated that Paterno and other University officials had deliberately concealed allegations of  sexual abuse against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.

"I now believe that, contrary to is original intention, Coach Paterno's statue has become a source of division and an obstacle to healing in our university and beyond," Erickson said in his 592-word statement. "For that reason, I have decided that it is in the best interest of our university and public safety to remove the statue and store it in a secure location."

If the statue of Paterno, his right index finger raised in a No. 1 salute, had remained in its current location, Erickson said he believed it would "be a recurring wound to the multitude of individuals across the nation and beyond who have been the victims of child abuse."

Erickson's announcement came exactly six months after Paterno died.

Joe Paterno's family is none too pleased with this development. The Paterno's have given millions of dollars to Penn State.

A list of NCAA sanctions against Penn State is expected to be released tomorrow.

For all intents and purposes, I believe the football program at Penn State is dead. It will be decades, if at all, before it recovers from these shocking allegations crimes. It is rumored that athletes from other Penn State programs are already abandoning ship for other schools. To put it bluntly,  I sure as hell wouldn't send my kids to any athletic summer camp run by Penn State.

When we denigrate a nation, we usually are manifesting our displeasure with their leaders, not with the people. The French have been vilified for a long time in this respect.

The above video shows  the love and devotion of Mrs. Billie Harris, a WWII  fighter pilot's widow, who waited over sixty years for the US government to inform her of her husband's death. Even as recently as 2005, government officials still obfuscated her search for her husband until a family member did the work that the government wouldn't.

It also demonstrates how wrong we can be about the French people. Watch as the French village of  Les Nentes honors the sacrifice of US Army Air Corp Lt. 1/C Billie D. Harris.

In an attempt to avoid injuring innocent civilians,  Lt. Harris purposely crashed his disabled plane just outside this small village in 1944.

The Obama Virus

The weaknesses of Obama's candidacy and character are finally becoming known to the electorate as conservative bloggers continue to do the work that should have been done by the media and the Republican Party four years ago. Like hemorrhoid surgery, it isn't pretty and it is usually delayed, but eventually it must be done.

Or perhaps it is more akin to cancer surgery - the American body politic is in serious danger unless a foreign invader is removed before it can do fatal damage. It has already crippled us.

The American Thinker's Robert Lopez is one such surgical blogger who wields a very sharp scalpel.

When Obama says "you didn't build that," he is employing the rhetorical strategies of two subcultures that he remains closely involved with:

(1) the urban Democratic political machines that often shake down both businesses and minorities using City Hall's power over permits, union jobs, fines, and bonds; and

(2) the higher education system that has monopolized credentialing and apprenticeships, forcing racial minorities into submissive gratitude by inserting affirmative action into their careers at early stages.

I have witnessed and experienced the effects of both of these subcultures as 1) a student at a private, liberal university and 2) as a cop. Trying to effect change within these types of organizations is impossible without replacing the entire structure from the bottom up.

As Mr. Lopez posits, Obama is a product of the worst of both subcultures. Mix this with a communist/socialist upbringing and you have what is no more than a genetically altered socialist virus that has been deliberately positioned within our government for no other reason than to wreck havoc in America.

If Obama had been vetted properly, this virus would have presented itself long before now. But alas the infection has progressed to the point where Obama can say whatever he wants without fear of a Truth vaccination.

When he tells the audience not to take credit for their successes, he is perhaps rationalizing his own trajectory from a pampered private school in Hawaii to the presidency. His trajectory after Hawaii led him straight through the familiar Democratic "gratitude" rackets of Ivy League affirmative action and big-city machine politics, rackets that felt suffocating to me growing up and which led me to become a staunch Giuliani Republican. The fact that Obama landed a plum lecturer position at the University of Chicago without having to pay his dues on the tenure track -- which would have required the demanding rigors of a dissertation defense, peer-reviewed publication, years of formal student evaluations, committee work, and at the least a peer-critiqued monograph on a topic other than his life experiences -- indicates to me that he continued to get shortcuts in exchange for political payouts to white liberals, which could only make him feel more imprisoned by the racial gratitude racket.

Obama's lack of qualifications and his true agenda are becoming more and more apparent.

It is understandable President Obama would not want to run on his record. Who would? “Give me four more years so I can make up for the first four” is not the stuff of campaign slogan greatness.

But it's basically what he's running now. And with enough election fraud in the right cities, he could pull it off. With a corrupt Attorney General and the liberal media backing him up he has a shot at it.

The administration of Barack Obama embodies the worst characteristics of the worst Presidents in our history – the abuse of power, the incompetence, the laziness, the bigotry, the disinterest, the dishonesty, the arrogance. The reason he’s still personally popular is the same reason we know the names Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Perez Hilton or that TMZ exists – A large portion of our culture now celebrates what it used to shun, cheers that which used to drive people into hiding and rewards existence over accomplishment.

Then Barack Obama also embodies the worst of what America has become. A generation ago he would have made himself a nuisance in the Illinois Senate and gone no farther. Two generations ago he would have been impeached by now. Three generations ago...
