Sunspots Disappear

The sun has the most powerful influence on every planet in our solar system. The sun, not man, is responsible for the development of weather systems and patterns on our planet and scientists still don't understand how the sun works.
"It all underlines that solar physicists really don't know what the heck is happening on the sun," Phillips said. "We just don't know how to predict the sun, that is the take away message of this event."
Story here.

Climate change is one of the few constants in Earth's history. It's interesting that the green lobby would chose that to be the thing that they're trying to stop. It's more or less the same thing as trying to stop all 'wind' on the planet.

Spotless days are unusual. But that too is change.

The Russian science believed, some time back, that the earth was in for a cooling spell. I can't remember all of their reasoning, probably don't know all of it. But they believed, right as global warming was heating up in the West, and say a decade before. If their prognostication is right? It means 250 years, and a minor ice age.

You know what I am curious about? Just exactly how will Mexico feel when the border incursion is reversed. *wolfish grins* We might even pack the Canadians down with us. We've got more tanks. We'll leave them some land. We call them reservations. Just a loan, mind you. Probably.

Kid,

Actually, many of them don't. What makes me laugh the hardest? They accuse (and falsely I should add) that the Catholic church was earth centric, because of it's threat to excommunicate Galileo. That was an employee yanking the chain of his employer just a little too often. So, what does science do? Turns around and does the same thing... believes the earth is unto it's own. Cracks me up. Oh, and they truly persecute Christians.
