New News? 'Bout Time!

I hardly ever watch Fox News, haven't for about three or four years.
Why? I got tired of idiots like Juan Williams blathering his liberal, mindless crap and the "fair and balanced" yelling back and forth with the likes of coke head Beckel and other fools.

Now that Fox has completely grabbed its ankles, it's time for another network.

On the heels of major shakeups at the Fox News Network, an alternative conservative network is being actively discussed amongst conservative fat cats.

A well-placed source close to the proposal tells Mediaite that serious discussions are underway to create an alternative conservative cable network on the belief that the Fox News Network is moving too far to the left. The source, who is engaged in the talks, says a meeting is planned for today with two prominent high-powered television executives, some underperforming conservative networks and people who have an interest and the ability to fund a new network.

I like the idea of 'another' conservative network. We have always liked FOX, but have definitely noticed the move to the left.
Not sure about 'fat cat conservatives'. Sounds wrong somehow.

I hope they can get on cable TV and that I can afford the channel. Unlike all the "20-somethings", we don't watch most of those channels quoted in the article.

I was wondering today why someone doesn't do this. Maybe Trump will put some of his money into it as payback for all the back stabbers at Fox. I haven't watched Fox since 2012, I don't need their fair and balanced.

Linda - I'm thinking perhaps along the lines of Glenn Beck and his TV offering. But who knows?

Sunnybrook - I think that Trump will not make any investment decisions while he is President. Don't all Presidents place their financial holdings in a blind trust? This way they can't knowingly make a policy decision that gives them an advantage.

The liberals would raise a ruckus if he personally donated anything to a conservative station.

We used to watch Glenn Beck. I'd like to see Mark Levin, too. But, only have DSL, and AT&T is stingy about their internet.
Just have to wait and see. The way time flies, we should know what's going on sometime next week, haha!

Have a safe, blessed weekend.
