Plugging The Leaks

For an interesting discussion on how President Trump and General Flynn identified the persons who were the leaks in national security, go here
President Trump has defeated Democrats in the intelligence community (IC) who were leaking classified information to the press. Such leaks have been a problem for many presidents, but Trump is the first who took a proactive approach and set up a sting operation that identified the leakers. It’s highly illegal to leak classified information. It’s also illegal to PUBLISH this information, but Trump is too smart to try and prosecute reporters.
I thought that Trump would fire members of the IC until the leaks stopped, but the president solved the problem with a much more imaginative and deadly approach: He fed the IC false information. When this information was published, Trump was able to identify individual leakers.
How?
Each group or individual who leaked was given a different version of events. This is CLASSIC spycraft. If nine individuals are told nine different stories, and then each of those stories is published, you know the identity of each person who talked to the press.
President Trump in no fool, he does not tolerate fools nor does he hire them. Did he plug all the leaks, maybe not. Is this article fake news? maybe so, 'cause there are still leaks.

McMartin's - Over Half A Billion Swiped

A NASA contractor, Harold Martin III, has been indicted for stealing over a half billion - that's right billion - pages of classified documents over a twenty year period. That's 25 million pages a year.

Sandy Berger would be proud...

From the WashTimes:
A former National Security Agency contractor has been indicted on 20 criminal counts involving the theft of highly classified information from the federal government during more than two decades of employment, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Harold T. Martin III of Glen Burnie, Maryland, is accused of stealing more than a half-billion pages of top-secret documents and records from the U.S. government from 1996 to 2016.

The indictment against Mr. Martin indicates that the classified documents found at his home and in his car included information from the NSA, the U.S. Cyber Command, the National Reconnaissance Office and the CIA.
They didn't have 64 GB memory sticks in 1996. Martin had to look like the Michelin Man stuffed with paper as he walked out of the building. There literally had to be clouds of classified documents flying in the wind behind his car as he drove home from work every evening.

A Border Fence Is Not Enough

Liberals are always declaring that the Mexicans only take the jobs that Americans refuse to do.

Now it's time for Americans to take the jobs that Mexicans refuse to do. Seal the drug smuggling tunnels.
Border tunnels left unfilled on Mexican side pose security risk, officials say

Mexican drug cartels have burrowed dozens of tunnels in the last decade, outfitted them with rail and cart systems to whisk drugs under the U.S. border and, after being discovered by authorities, abandoned them.

But some of the illicit passageways live on.

At least six previously discovered border tunnels have been reactivated by Mexican trafficking groups in recent years, exposing a recurring large-scale smuggling threat, according to U.S. and Mexican law enforcement officials.

The breaches of border defenses, most recently in December, occur because Mexican authorities, unlike those on the American side, do not fill the tunnels with concrete once they have been discovered. Mexican authorities say they lack the funds.
This is a national security disaster. If the cartels can smuggle hundreds of tons of coke and heroin into the US, what else is coming through?

Blow up the Mexican side of the tunnels, collapse them.
Fill the American side of the tunnels with concrete and dead smugglers.
Install a system of sensors along the border to detect tunneling operations.
Install counter battery radar for when they start to catapult that crap over the border.

The Threat Against Trump Is Real

A media feeding frenzy and DNC shenanigans failed to bring Trump down. What's next?
As the Coup Against Trump Fails, the Threat Against His Life Rises — Paul Craig Roberts

[...]Global Research’s Michel Chossudovsky has explained that Trump’s peaceful approach to Russia aligns him with oligarchs, whose wealth benefits from business deals with Russia, and puts Trump at odds with the military/security oligarchs, who benefit from the one trillion dollar annual military/security budget. The latter group have been in control since President Eisenhower warned us about them and can muster deep state forces against a Trump presidency.

To take on a group like this requires a tough SOB. Anything less than Trump wouldn’t have a chance. Indeed, if Douglas Valentine’s just published book, The CIA As Organized Crime (Clarity Press, 2017) is even half true, Trump’s life is certainly at risk.
Add to the mix the whacked-out environmentalists who hate Trump because of his announced intention to defang the EPA. It won't take much to send one of these idiots over the edge.

Russia Or ISIS - Your Choice

German officials are advising their citizens to stock at least ten days food, water and medical necessities. But there's no reason, just thinking out loud we are, seems like a good idea so ... not to worry, nothing going on, everything's fine, actually dandy, but don't forget the bandages and iodine, after all - we are "preparing appropriately for a development that could threaten our existence..."

Newser reports:
Germany doesn't want its citizens to panic—but it would like them to be a little more prepared for an attack or a disaster. According to a report in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, the German government plans to bring back its Cold War-era requirement for people to stockpile enough food for 10 days and enough drinking water for five, as well as medicine and other supplies. The government is also planning to boost security by bringing in a nationwide alarm system.

A "Concept for Civil Defense" plan that will be discussed by lawmakers this week says an armed invasion of German territory is unlikely, but that citizens should "prepare appropriately for a development that could threaten our existence and cannot be categorically ruled out in the future." Reuters notes that the new civil defense plan comes amid other security measures, including major increases in police funding and the creation of a new anti-terror unit.

Gen. Petraeus Receives Probation Sentence

He got spanked worse than Sandy Berger.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former CIA Director David Petraeus, whose career was destroyed by an extramarital affair with his biographer, was sentenced Thursday to two years’ probation and fined $100,000 for giving her classified material while she was working on the book.

The sentencing came two months after he agreed to plead guilty to a federal misdemeanor count of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.

The plea agreement carried a possible sentence of up to a year in prison. In court papers, prosecutors recommended two years of probation and a $40,000 fine. But Judge David Kessler increased the fine to “reflect seriousness of the offense.”

In court, before being sentenced, Petraeus apologized “for the pain my actions have caused.”
