Never forget

Never forget the day, the lives, the mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and the children. Never forget the images. Never forget the shock. Never forget the heroes.

Never forget the murderers.

I was at work when the first plane struck a tower. We were concerned and very curious but the notion of an intentional crash did not occur to me. When the second plane struck I blurted out, "This is war."

I, for one, am willing to continue this war until hell freezes over or they starting making Kaiser automobiles again, which ever comes first.

Unfortunately Americans don't think of war as lasting for generations. Muslims do. We are at a distinct disadvantage where technology must yield to determination and longevity.

May the families of those who were lost find a small measure of solace in that millions of Americans will never, ever forget.

I can't watch the footage of those jumpers again. I just can't.

Where were you when Kennedy was killed?
Where were you on 911?
Two dates to be remembered; scenes to be instantly recalled in your mind;never to be forgotten.

I was on my way into the office when the first plane struck. I can remember exdactly where I was on that road. I can remember the confusion and shock I felt. I firmly believe - just like the memorials in washington that commemorate the heroes in our history - there should be a yearly video memorial of that day - actual live footage the entire day, so that we continue to remember clearly exactly what occurred. Time will blurr those memories - it's human nature. Many young adults don't even consider what occurred nine years ago - they were only 8 or 9 or 10 at the time. So why the censorship? because it's "hurtful" to the families that were affected? Weren't we all affected - didn't most of us know someone who was affected, even if we weren't?

Show the footage yearly to honor those that died, but as importantly to indict the radical religion that spawned the attack, and to remind Americans to keep their guard up. Radical Islam is alive and well in America, and more and more it is infiltrating our shores.

Thanks Nickie. Where and when will the next event occur. As Sig said above, Americans vastly don't understand this kind of war.

I recall when JFK died. My father had no use for the man. Yet he came home from work, we went to church to pray and I saw him wiping tears from his eyes.

It's the only time I ever saw him cry.

On 9/11/01 I realized why he wept.

I have a hole in my soul left over from the original 9/11 attack. It has not healed; the lack of resolve on the part of our national leadership to confront those responsible for an act of war on us is unfathomable.

WoFat brings up an interesting point. I'm only 41; Kennedy was killed before I was born. For years the JFK assassination was the benchmark moment for Where Were You When...? And now that benchmark moment is 9/11.....

I will never forget where I was when the Sept 11th terrorist attacks happened. I will never forget that tragic day. God Bless our troops. God rest all those souls who lost their lives that horrific day. God Bless America!

Whilst people gathered in New York to commemorate 9/11 and to protest against the construction of the Ground Zero Mosque, the scene outside the US Embassy in London was rather different. Anjem Choudary and his band of not-so-merry men - Muslims Against Crusades - turned up to yell Islamic slogans and burn the American flag. Footage here: http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2010/09/american-embassy-911-protest-anjem.html

I was at an auto repair shop bordering the Burlington airport and Green mountain boys ANG base, which flys nation CAP missions for NORAD. I was watching a C130 come in for a landing when all of a sudden it engines went full power, belching black smoke and climbing into a hard turn. The WTF increased as the scream of 2 F16 fighters came off the runway, then 10 seconds later when afterbuner! I could feel the sonic boom in my bones. I knew something was up, and got into my now ready vehicle. The radio announced what was going on.

I posted this reply over at sigs site, but want to share it here also. I covered this issue over on my blog, with many links to more information. Why? 'cause with some dumba$$e$, It seem this has been to easy to forget, or turn into an Obot political football. And we the people cannot let that happen.

...With the attention span being of a toddler with ADD, the ground zero victory mosque dhimmis have forgotten. How can you not review for five minutes the horror of 9 11 with feeling like a human should feel?

While the statist hump will stay back and claim to be above that, the real issue with them is they hate America and all it's people far more than the thought of civilians dying by the hand of the barbarians. Because these people had a job, I have heard parasites claim that they had it coming to the as "republicans". I had to be physically restrained.

An "human" who can make a statement like that is a sociopath and a rabid dog, and needs to be treated like one.

No victory mosque. Ever. And if you want to frighten us with threats of violence if we do not comply with your inhuman demands, Well Mr. Rauf, as they say in my beloved Corps, you can stand the HELL BY. Cause here it comes, hot and fresh from the heartland...
