According to a new UFO reference book, self-published by two UFO experts, California is the top state with the most UFO sightings in the country. California is followed by Florida, Texas, Washington and Pennsylvania respectively. New York came in at 6th followed by Arizona, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio.

California also reputedly leads the nation in certain horticultural products like Psilocybin mushrooms (magic mushrooms) and pharmacological exports (LSD). I sense a nexus between those and the UFO sightings.

Saw a couple of semi-serious articles calling for either Cal to secede or split into two - libs vs Cons by area of occupation.

KId - I doubt either will fly, but it certainly is an indication of the strong ideological split in CA.
