A Louisiana police captain has sent out a blunt message for members of a local street gang.

'You will be hunted. You will be tracked. And if you raise your weapon to a man like me, we'll return fire with superior power,' said Captain Clay Higgins in a video message, as he stood flanked by officers from more than a dozen Louisiana law enforcement agencies.

Higgins said a gang known as the Gremlins had been terrorizing the local community around St. Landry Parish, where the captain is based.

Somebody best be listening.

Actually this Capt. seems to be a bit of a prima donna. He has his own merchandise outlet url. True, I have my own theme song but I don't offer a line of men's fashion accessories and cooking utensils.

Biker Blow Out

Nine Dead In Waco.

Gunfire erupted Sunday among rival biker gangs in Waco, Texas, leaving at least nine people dead, according to police.

Authorities had anticipated trouble and pre-positioned officers.

"There were at least three rival gang groups here this morning for whatever reason. As they were here, we had officers on scene. We expected issues," said Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton, a police spokesman. He later said there were at least five gangs.

The fight broke out at Twin Peaks restaurant and spilled into the parking lot. It quickly escalated from hands and feet, as weapons, to gunfire, Swanton said.

No official word on what biker gangs were involved, but chances are pictures of Mohammed were not an issue of contention between them.

NOW He's Good

The lawyer who represented one of the idiots killed by police in Garland, TX, in a prior arrest was shocked to earn that her client had been killed while committing an act of terrorism. She had this to say:

The attorney who once defended one of two men who opened fire at a “Draw Muhammad” event in Texas on Sunday says she was “shocked” to learn that he was involved in the attack. She says she has represented a number of people charged with terrorism-related crimes. Some of them are the “worst of the worst,” but Elton Simpson was “one of the good ones,” she said.

“He was always respectful to me and my staff—did everything he was supposed to do,” attorney Kristina Sitton told Vocativ.

With a police round between his eyes, now he's a good one.

Critics of the Mohammed art exhibition were up in arms.

The New York Times' foreign correspondent Rukmini Callimachi asked, "Free speech aside, why would anyone do something as provocative as hosting a 'Muhammad drawing contest?' "

It amazes me how the media embraces provocative art like Serrano's "Piss Christ" or Mapplethrope's picture of some guy with a bullwhip stuck up his ass, but blows a gasket when Islam receives the same treatment.

Carbon Induced Murder

Apparently the democrats in Chicago are using the same tactics to reduce welfare payments that the Obama administration uses to reduce the cost of veterans' benefits.

CHICAGO - Police are dealing with the fallout from some unexpected fireworks over the past few days in Chicago. Eighty-two people were shot, 14 of them fatally, over the long Fourth of July weekend, according to the Chicago Tribune. The string of incidents kicked off in the afternoon on Thursday.

Obviously I was just kidding when I suggested that democrats want to reduce rampaging, out of control welfare costs or any other social spending programs. They'll blame this on global warming and demand that we all ride bicycles to work.

But, oh dear, it looks like that train has left the station. From Climate Depot:

Ecologist Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, warned “I fear a global cooling,” during his keynote address to the Ninth International Conference on Climate Change in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Moore, who left Greenpeace in 1986 because he felt it had become too radical, is the author of “Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist.”

Moore noted that a cooling would adversely impact agriculture, and said: “Let’s hope for a little warming as opposed to a little cooling. I would rather it got a little warmer.”

Moore noted that “the U.S. is currently been cooling” and noted that there has been “no global warming for nearly 18 years.” He also mocked the notion that “everything is due to global warming.”

The liberals will have to search elsewhere for that all encompassing panacea.

I suggest lima beans. Lima beans are causing all the gun violence and other woes in America. I simply detest lima beans. We must ban lima beans now! Or, at the very least, all lima bean eaters must register with the government and wait at least three days before applying for a lima bean license! Mandatory jail time for anyone convicted of Criminal Possession of Succotash!
