Seems funny that the richest socialists like Sanders and Clinton are always griping that the rich need to pay more while they hide their assests with every legal device at their command. Yet the poorest pay little or nothing yet garner the greatest benefits from the government.

Of course there is no attempt (or intent) by the government to just provide essential services. This is all about wealth redistribution in order to maintain political advantage.
Brexit's reception here must have worried the socialists running North America so they're not wasting time getting their heads together to figure out ways they can screw their citizens before the freedom tsunami hits.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Monday called for greater integration with Canada and the United States in the wake of Britain's vote to split with the European Union.
Nieto, who spoke during a stopover in Quebec City, is scheduled to attend a North American leaders summit in Ottawa on Wednesday with his US and Canadian counterparts.
The three countries are economic partners in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and work closely on security matters.
At Wednesday's summit, the leaders are expected to announce joint energy and environmental strategies, including matching renewable energy targets.
"The purpose of this visit is to renew our bilateral relationship, to give it new life, to find ways to advance the prosperity and competitiveness of North America," Pena Nieto said.
"I think what is happening elsewhere in the world invites us to strengthen our strategic alliance and especially to be much more inclusive," he said in response to questions about the so-called Brexit decision.
Notice how he is not addressing crimes committed by Mexican citizens when they enter the country illegally nor is he worried about the narcotics trafficking that is poisoning America and feeding the bloodletting in our cities. Nah, he likes the energy gig. Remember Solyndra? There's lots more "green" companies that have gone belly up after feeding on government subsidies. I bet there's a few Mexican start ups that would like a piece of that. Obama did pretty well off the solar scam, Nieto just wants to wet his beak.
All this thief is doing is looking to increase the spread of his net.
You know, the net that he casts to catch corrupt politicians and
businessmen. He might be running low on Mexican thieves so he wants some
of our ours and Canada's. How do we know this? The three of them want to start a continental carbon market - to enlarge Al Gore's multi-billion dollar scam involving green house gas (GHG) emissions trading. This could be Obama's retirement plan which of course will be funded by taxpayers.
And the current idiot Prime Minister to the north? He's got a whole country as a new toy and he's dying to see if he can break it. Silly socialist, maybe he thinks failed economic policies do better if they get rooted in a colder climate.
These high ranking politicians just don't get it.

Back in 1989, card-carrying Communist and Politburo member in the Soviet Union Boris Yeltsin visited Johnson Space Center, and then took a tour of a grocery store in Clear Lake, Texas. According to a Houston Chronicle reporter, Yeltsin was far more affected by the grocery store visit than he was the space center. He apparently was stunned by the aisles and aisles of supermarket products, and told the other Russians in his entourage that if Russians saw what American grocery stores looked like, when in their homeland they had to wait in line for most everything, “there would be a revolution.”
Yeltsin chit-chatted with customers about what their groceries cost, what they were buying, and was in absolute amazement at the whole experience, saying, “Even the Politburo doesn’t have this choice. Not even Mr. Gorbachev.”
He was dazzled by the fact that grocery stores were everywhere, and that they even offered free samples. A year or so later, a biographer wrote that on the plane ride from Texas to Florida, Yeltsin couldn’t get the vision of the endless food supply out of his mind, and lamented how different things were for his own countrymen.
According to wikipedia, Leon Aron, quoting a Yeltsin associate, wrote in his biography, “Yeltsin, A Revolutionary Life” (St. Martin’s Press, 2000): “For a long time, on the plane to Miami, he sat motionless, his head in his hands. ‘What have they done to our poor people?’ he said after a long silence.” He added, “On his return to Moscow, Yeltsin would confess the pain he had felt after the Houston excursion: the ‘pain for all of us, for our country so rich, so talented and so exhausted by incessant experiments.’”
He wrote that Mr. Yeltsin added, “I think we have committed a crime against our people by making their standard of living so incomparably lower than that of the Americans.” And then, in his own autobiography, Yeltsin wrote about the experience at the grocery store himself, which reshaped his entire view on communism, ultimately leading to leaving the Communist party.
“When I saw those shelves crammed with hundreds, thousands of cans, cartons and goods of every possible sort, for the first time I felt quite frankly sick with despair for the Soviet people,” Yeltsin wrote. “That such a potentially super-rich country as ours has been brought to a state of such poverty! It is terrible to think of it."
Venezuela orders its National Guard to seize a toilet paper factory.

CARACAS (Reuters) - A Venezuelan state agency on Friday ordered the temporary takeover of a factory that produces toilet paper in what it called an effort to ensure consistent supplies after embarrassing shortages earlier this year.
Critics of President Nicolas Maduro say the nagging shortages of products ranging from bathroom tissue to milk are a sign his socialist government's rigid price and currency controls are failing. They have also used the situation to poke fun at his administration on social media networks.
A national agency called Sundecop, which enforces price controls, said in a statement it would occupy one of the factories belonging to paper producer Manpa for 15 days, adding that National Guard troops would "safeguard" the facility.
"The action in the producer of toilet paper, sanitary napkins and disposable diapers responds to the state's obligation to ensure a steady supply of basic goods for the people," Sundecop said, adding it had observed "the violation of the right" to access such products.
Calls to the Manpa factory went unanswered.

Please bear with me as I take you on trip that, for me, seemed like yesterday and only lasted twenty-five minutes but brings our Nation full circle back to its founding.
There is a bridge connecting two counties - two burroughs - of New York City, it is part of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. It was built in the 1930's and is scheduled to be replaced within the next few years. I haven't been on this bridge in decades. We used to travel to see relatives in Brooklyn when I was a kid (my parents are both from Brooklyn) and would drive over this bridge to get there.
It is the Kosciuszko Bridge. It is named for General Thaddeus Kosciuszko (1746 - 1817), an eighteenth century Hero on two Continents.
Thaddeus Kosciuszko was born in Poland on February 4, 1746, son of Ludwik and Tekla Kosciuszko. He attended school in Lubieszow and then the Cadet Academy in Warsaw before continuing his engineering studies in Paris, France. By the time Kosciuszko arrived in America from Poland in 1776, he was a skilled engineer who came to offer his services to the American colonies in their struggle for independence.
On October 18, 1776 Kosciuszko was commissioned as Colonel of Engineers by the Continental Congress and began his outstanding service of fortifying battle sites, many of which became turning points in America's fight for independence against the British.
Shortly after arriving in Philadelphia in 1776, Kosciuszko read the Declaration of Independence and was moved to tears because he discovered in this single, concise document everything in which he truly believed. When he discovered that Thomas Jefferson was responsible for drafting the Declaration, he felt compelled to meet him. A few months later, while moving south with the Continental Army, Kosciuszko stopped in Virginia to meet with Jefferson. After a very warm reception, the two men spent the day comparing philosophies and eventually became the best of friends.
In the early days of the war, Kosciuszko helped to fortify the Philadelphia waterfront at Fort Mercer. Shortly after, he was transferred to New York, where he helped with fortifications along the Hudson and planned the defense for Saratoga. The Battle of Saratoga became known as one of military history's most famous struggles for independence and proved to be a turning point in the war.
In 1778, Kosciuszko was made chief engineer of West Point, New York. This fortification became known as the American Gibraltar because it was unable to be penetrated by the British Army. Eventually West Point became a military academy, as suggested by Kosciuszko to General George Washington.
In 1783, Kosciuszko was appointed Brigadier General and was awarded the Cincinnati Order Medal by General George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army. Washington also presented Kosciuszko with two pistols and a sword as gifts for his outstanding service to America.
After the colonies won their independence, Kosciuszko returned to Poland in 1784 to help his own country win independence from the surrounding European powers. Kosciuszko was wounded in the failed revolt and taken prisoner by the Russians.
Upon his release from prison, he returned to America on August 18, 1797, which he considered his "second home." He received a hero's welcome when he reached the Philadelphia waterfront along the Delaware River. Afterward, he secured a residence at 3rd and Pine Streets, which is now the Kosciuszko House, a national memorial to this hero of the American Revolution.
There is something about liberty that ignites a flame in men's souls. It compelled Kosciuszko to cross a continent and an ocean to join ranks with strangers; but he felt a common bond with men who gave everything they had for liberty.
The quest for liberty is unlike other causes which draw bloody-minded opportunists or hate-filled fanatics. Liberty draws those who love freedom and the chance it affords to those who want to live by the dictates of their conscience, unfettered by intrusive, over-zealous government and the greedy fools who profit from it. This is the way God intended us to live if we would but allow Him to direct our conscience. This is why men have been drawn to our shores for centuries.
But as a Nation, we have abandoned that ideal.
Yet another Polish Patriot who loves America as well as his own land has spoken. As a Friend of America, as an incredibly brave man who stood up to the power and might of the Soviet Union, as a lover of freedom, the words of Lech Walesa should resonate with everyone who loves liberty.
These are hard words to hear from a good friend for Lech tells us:
American is no longer the political and moral leader of the world.
America is becoming socialist
We have now entered the ranks of the grasping, gasping herd of nations, you know .... the countries we used to make fun of. The countries we would read about in the morning paper over coffee and tsk tsk all the way to work, glad and proud that we weren't "like that." Guess again. We're like England after the end of WWI.
The media has ignored this message, we're not surprised. It is because we are turning into a socialist, atheistic country that we are no longer leaders. Leaders need values. Leaders need to be able to provide direction, make decisions based on those values. And leaders need courage to make hard decisions. Attack the values and everything else falls apart.

Fake Fliers Promise 'Free Food And Beer' At Mayoral Candidate Event
ATLANTA -- Atlanta mayoral candidate Lisa Borders said someone created fake fliers promising free food and beer at a scheduled block party she held Saturday. Borders said the fliers were distributed to people at a homeless center in downtown Atlanta.
"We are deeply saddened that another campaign would use the most vulnerable members of our community in an attempt to disrupt our event,” said Stacey Abrams, campaign manager.
Abrams said the “old-fashioned” style block party was meant to thank volunteers, current supporters and encourage others to join Borders in her quest to become Atlanta's next mayor.
The event, however, did feature cotton candy, popcorn, shaved ice, hot dogs, hamburgers and entertainment.
“By misusing our logo and handing out these fliers, they misled men and women who have faced more than enough difficulty,” said Abrams. (More...)
