Now, let's play a game. Can you find anything that these politicians have in common? No? Look again.

Now, here are some houses in Detroit...

Now, can anybody tell me what kind of progressive zoning, law enforcement, welfare, education, business creation, tax, and economic policies led to the following fact?:

As of August 2009, the AVERAGE home price in Detroit is less than $12,000

Take a good look, America. This will be the United States under the Democrat Party.

I don't know. Kwame Kenyatta is actually a "Blue Dog", I hear.

No, DC... Just a dawg.

I fail to see how this is racist. This is what you get when you vote for handouts.

Detroit used to be a great city.

What about Oakland? What about New Orleans? What about DC?

Call it racism if you want, anon, but it is what it is. Anytime you vote for handouts in a city where the working people can't afford to pay for the handouts, this is what you get.

obama is most certainly on his way to trying to level the playing field so that we are all dependent on him. So what Nickie says is correct. We will be a Detroit nation!

What about DC? I think that Mr. Kenyatta took Col. Qaddafi's pillow sham/hat.

Hey Nick,

What's with the indents? More Goomba News hieroglyphics?

Hut. Hut. Blue Dog. None. Hut. Hikety ... Hike.

BTW, great game by USC last weekend, Nicolai.

This is a serious indictment of Democrat policies.

What part of this post discusses race? Anon, you MUST be running low on ammo to hide behind the race card without any semblance of an argument.

If one looks a the state who are in the most serious trouble, Michigan, New Yoik, New Joisey, Caleefornia, and others; they are Heavily Controlled by Democrats.

Imagine you and you wife at home, mkaing 50 grand a year take home, ut spending 86k a year (The California Model) and imagine either one of you thinking there is nothing wrong here and you are not both COKE ADDICTS with NO BRAINS left.

Not possible.

Now, look at Texas and Alaska. Heavily Capitalist and Conservative. The ONLY TWO STATES who are still financially solvent, and Texas is growing.

This is simple.

Anonymous said...

Yes, it is. it has nothing to do with race. We have a huge Hispanic and minority population, as well. Houston is the most ethnically diverse city IN THE NATION, after New York. No race riots. No mass looting after hurricanes.

How? Simple. Conservatism. And Texans aren't much on Bravo Sierra. If the weather wasn't so terrible, it would be heaven.

More evidence: We have no Democrats elected to statewide office. All Republicans. Every single one.

Come on down. Every one else is.

Nickie - you're a racist. The next thing you know, you'll be posting old YouTube "SONG OF THE SOUTH" videos.

Zipity - doo- dah!

Oh My Goodness! I thought I was looking at the homes for sale listing from Columbus, Ohio. Guess what?! We have a Democratic controlled city also. The biggest problem is our Republicans don't do anything more or less than the Democrats. They all have their fingers in the Union/Acorn Cookie Jar. Ohio is a breath away from the condition of Michigan, so are all the states in the Rust Belt. What a surprise, they are all controlled by CORRUPTION!

Oh Nickie, don't get their hopes up. That's a Democratic wet dream. If everybody can't be rich then everybody must be poor. In Soviet America house abandons you!

Great post Nickie, Detroit is a prime example of what malfeasance, corruption, socialism, ends up as. CA, my home state is also an example. Anyway, could you support this young man that I have been corresponding with, Wes over @ The Humble Libertarian. Read this post.

It seems mrs dewiggins kinda beat me to the punch... I grew up in what is now a very Democratically controlled Ohio, specifically Cleveland.

We had a resurgence after Dennis Kucinich left in 1980 and George Voinovich took over as Mmayor. George went on to become governor of Ohio in 1991, and the state did very well, but the city was overrun by Dems.

I lived in Columbus from 1997-2000 and the city was growing gangbusters. Of course, Columbus had a Republican mayor from '92 until 2000, in addition to Voinovich as gov.

Arizona isn't much better right now, as that handsome woman Janet Napolitano, now of DHS fame (Crappy Nappy for those keeping score at home) singlehandedly tore through a $2billion rainy day fund and left us with a $2billion state debt and budget deficits, and her successor is a RINO who wants to raise taxes as our largest corporation, Honeywell, offshores its operations.

Makes sense...

I have heard it argued, that these cities (and this is but one of 50, that I have heard of, and so far) were just plagued by 'economic' downturns and transferring the work overseas. What part, do they suspect, unions played in that (unfunded mandates quite often)? How did limited or protectionist trading serve them, in the long run? And, after they cut their (and our, as consumers) throats, how did those unemployment and welfare checks work out?

Yeah, a little fact checking helps. No, I had heard it was bad, but $12,000? That used to be my beer and soda money for the year. (How did that diabetes thing work for me? Yeah, I can handle my own hits. Ha! And, good, thank you.)

DC, my football team (University of Nevada) opened the season against NOTRE DAME at SOUTH BEND. What the hell were they thinkin? The last I heard, the Irish were still scoring touchdowns.

LL, there's one fact that is never mentioned. Both Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit were registered Republicans.

Mrs DeWiggins,

I know. I know. My son just moved back from Akron. He's beaten and battered by the Rust Belt, but he'll be back. He's learned a strong political and economic lesson.

Sol, the Dems are everywhere right now. Reality and shock will soon motivate American voters to cull that herd.

Doom, it's amazing. A car will cost you more than a house. Soon, a steak will cost more than a house.

Ph. d. Doom rocks.

Nickie, you are a Wolf? Did not know that. Or is it the Gamblers? Jim Kelly used to play for them, until he went to play for the Buffalo Susan Luccis.

Re: Demos in Texas ... that's why Perry and Kay are going hammer and tong. Winner of the primary wins the general. Period. Whoever runs for gov. as Demo in Texas is a sacrificial lamb. I nominate Shelia Jackson Lee.

Thank you for the useful information... I didn't know actually.

Fantastic post and a clear indictment (as Opus#6) said of the Democratic party. This is what they want, drag us all down to the same level in the name of parity, not thinking it might be possible to actually improve the living conditions of our nation's poor without putting us all in the same sinking boat.

rocslinger said...

Take heart all, I think that the race card is the last card in the liberals play book.

Nickie, It is heartening to see our side rise up and demand to be left alone. I think that we now have to bring our brooms to both party headquarters and clean house.

BTW. thanks for the words of encouragement you left at my blog.

Anonymous said...

Ooops, unless you live in that region, you wouldn't know. The bad news of rotting cities is only news when the Republicans are in power.

Anonymous said...

And, Fuzzy, that sinking boat is getting pretty crowded.
