This Guy is Dangerous!!

Yeah, he's thinking. And he's busy giving three speeches a day, and he's busy appearing on every TV show in sight, and he's busy pushing his discredited Socialized medicine scheme, and he's busy covering up his connections to ACORN and the NEA, and he'd busy accusing his opponents of racism. He just has no time to fight his war in Afghanistan! And our troops, under fire, wait.

Isn't it pathetic that David Letterman takes priority over our troops? Now Hillary Clinton has been given the orders to discredit our general in Afghanistan so Obama isn't embarrassed by his priorities. It's shameful. I would think twice in 2009 before joining the military.

It is a national scandal. I hope this will all catch up to him as the national morale continues to deteriorate.

He is stalling for time. He can't send more troops while he is trying to pass his overreaching domestic agenda. He will lose his fringe base if he does. He doesn't care if he screws our soldiers. They're mostly conservatives anyway.

About all the TV time...Did you notice on the clip with Stephanopolis (about Health Care not being a tax) he accidentally used the word 'campaign' and corrected himself.
That's all it is, not lives and freedom at stake.

Actually, it seems more troops want different foreign policy, as evidenced by their far greater donations to antiwar (Ron Paul) or pretend antiwar (Barack Obama) candidates. Meh.

If you want more war, then really shouldn't you be cheering on Obama? His policies are more pro-war than Bush's; he's certainly not 'thinking'. A 30,000+ troop surge not enough for you or what?

Sadly, we all saw this guy's priorities during the campaign, and we all knew our brave men and women in uniform were nowhere near the top of that list.

That being said - this is an absolute travesty. He needs to send in the cavalry, or get 'em the hell outta there. Now.

"Adam, one of the dumbest ideological and moral devices on your side is that conservatives like war."

What is meant by my 'side'? Are you inferring I'm a leftist? You do know most leftists are only "antiwar" when not in power, right? I abhor them.

"War is difficult; violence is not the easy way, it's the hard way. Any soldier will tell you that.

Until you comprehend that pacifism or passivity is not, by itself, a virtue, and the willingness to fight is not, by itself, a vice, you just sound like an idiot."

"Necessity is the argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." - William Pitt the Younger

Considering I respect and support the spirit of the Gadsden Flag, it's more than a little patronising to be told I don't understand what is and is not legitimate use of force.

Perhaps you might look at the difference between nation building and defending yourself; between shielding your own nation and occupying that of others, which naturally legitimises resistance.

Or not. I mean, God forbid anything "unpatriotic" may creep into your mind, right?

Support the troops, oppose the policy.

I think all the carbon-copy rhetoric and "making the rounds" tends to dilute his quality as a speaker (he's a great rabble rouser as are others in history). People get tired of hearing him and his polling continues to deteriorate.

Wow, talk about disproportionate response. What is your side? Paleoconservative, apparently.

I'm not impressed by your Pitt quote, because anyone can harvest something from Bartlett's in order to sound erudite.

In re supporting the troops, I paid a personal price for these wars and my own war - and that price goes on - which forced upon me some knowledge of futile military/internationalist ambitions - how their vainglory goes wrong, what they cost and what was perceived to be at stake by men of good will.

I don't need a lecture on stuffy principle or patriotic bloat from the likes of you, when real life is vastly more complicated and mysterious than your overweening pride, your ideological perfection and your didactic arrogance.

Your reaction is too much like a sales talk. I can see you've made it before, word for word.

AdamS said...

No harm intended Rhod.

Sorry if I came across as arrogant, I presumed you to be one of those 'love it or leave it, let's invade Iran' types, just as you presumed me a leftist.

Overweening pride? Maybe. Sales talk? I'll take that as a compliment :D

Adam, a truce between two Gadsden snakes is good.

Thank you for your sense of honor.

Sorry about the scuffle.

Boy if that doesn't sum it up Nickie. What a sad state of affairs.........The Joke is on US.

Opie, I'm concerned that an Afghanistan controversy will be a smokescreen through which the Dems will force through Obamacare.

Lynnae, You're right, and we can't forget this is a fight for Liberty, not medical care.

Anonymous said...

AdamsS, Obama wants to throw this fight. Winning is the last thing he wants to do. He's love to see the military discredited and humiliated.

Anonymous said...

Sol, I'm with you. Get them out of there or let them fight.

Rhod, nobody wants peace more than soldiers do.

LL, I expected his numbers to drop. But the steady rate of decline reflects his loss of luster. This is gonna get ugly.

Kid, that pirate talk is clearly a racist ruse. Knock it off, me 'andsome.

Reb, that SOB is babysitting the demise of the nation. I'm hoping that folks will eventually catch on. Jeez, I hate liberals.

To snub Fox and then appear on Letterman is a joke. He has time for some adoring by Dave but not direct questions from Wallace (and in front of a sizable chunk of America who he needs to try to persuade. I say 'try' because really, let's be honest....) This health care debacle will go down in flames.

Divine... That healthcare plan is gonna get passed any way they can. Passage of that plan will insure that this Presidency was a success. The Dems will benefit for generations. Only the entire populace will suffer.

Opus #6 said...

The entire populace will arrange another march on DC if they don't watch it. When congress is in session!

Rhod, I hope you don't mind. I tweeted some of your original soliloquy to "LIBS". Wonderful stuff. Gotta spread the wisdom around the net.

Thanks, Opie. I hope you're ready to argue.
