Just another brick in the wall...

...And another attack on Freedom of Speech
According to (Media Czar) Lloyd, the success of conservative talk radio, and failure of liberal talk radio, is not because conservative talk radio is more popular with radio listeners, but rather, it is indicative of a market failure in need of a regulatory fix.
Kim Kovac of the Mountain Home News warns us about the new attack on Conservative Talk Radio by Obama's diversity police.Hello friends. I have been on vacation and totally out of touch with no cell phone or internet for days. I am hitting the road for South Dakota this morning but I wanted to post another Czar report. The white house is dancing around the fact that they are developing a "Hit List". This should be alarming enough. BTW: My husband turned me into that email address and asked if there was a reward! Jeeze! Even my own family wants to get in on this tattle-telling game. Well, I don;t have much time to really sink my teeth into this new Czar but I can give you alittle.

Here ya go! The new Media Czar! I can't stress enough how very very typical these actions are becoming from the new Administration.

What is dangerous about the new Czar, Mark Lloyd? Free speech is once again being threatened under the guise of "fairness" Therefore, let's start taking all of those troublemakers on the radio off the air as quickly and as legally as we can. These radio talk people have done far too much damage to the Administration and they are trying to come up with anything possible to do away with it. "According to Lloyd, the success of conservative talk radio, and failure of liberal talk radio, is not because conservative talk radio is more popular with radio listeners, but rather, it is indicative of a market failure in need of a regulatory fix.

To limit the number of conservative voices on the air, Lloyd prescribes shortening broadcast license terms from eight to three years, and allowing "local community leaders" and activists to weigh-in on whether or not a station's license should be renewed. He also proposes creating regulations to increase broadcast ownership diversity "both in terms of the race/ethnicity and gender of the owners." Did you read that? Community leaders and activists will be given the power to decide if a station's license will be reviewed. Can you grasp the significance of this?

Lloyd wrote, "The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio" which definitely states that 76% of talk radio is conservative and that's not fair. It suggests that ownership must be capped so that minorities are given ownerships and licenses are revoked by those who do not conform.

I know the answer, but how to they define "minority"?

By race? By race in a particular region or nationwide or on the planet? By gender (eliminating female ownership since they are not the minority)?

Or by political orientation alone?

The ObamaNation is all about silencing any opposition to their mission. It's frightening. It's here.

I think I must have fallen and hit my head. There was some post about art up here by Rhod. I tried to comment and it vanished.

Did Obama shut down the internets?

DC, there's a lot more afternoon to go. Put away the Lone Star and eat something.

A liver is a terrible thing to waste!

Just thought I would let you know I read your blog on the California prison systems, gave it some thought, and solved the problem. I think it could work but you'll have to let me know what you think.

Dillinger,

Man, there's a lot to like there. Yours are serious suggestions and serious reforms that should be discussed seriously. We're just constantly talking to the legislators who don't worry about re-election. The Dems rule "Golden State" politics.

In California, the main opponent to prison reform is the union that represents Prison Guards.

They don't want any changes that will mean less overtime, more hiring, more work, or privatization of prisons. In other words, the unions own Sacramento and the prisons.

The union will decide what will be done, and it won't be based on public safety.

It sounds like stations could be forced to move their broadcast towers to conservative areas, where locals would give their permission. Conservatives who live in liberal enclaves would not have access to conservative talk radio. This would be a very bad thing. It can't be legal.

Not to mention basing ownership on race. MLK would be rolling over in his grave.

This is simply a people's commissar system of opinion control. It can't work without totalitarian measures.

All these incompetent reactionary morons can do, including the droning cheesehead in the White House, is focus more deserved hatred upon themselves. It isn't 1917, or even 1932.

That doesn't mean they can't cause huge amounts of trouble, which might end in some serious crisis of legitimacy.

The more the merrier, I say. We have a bunch of megalomaniac amateurs in charge right now. I say bring it on.

These goofs are worse than the Nazis.

Opie, I'm sure there's language that would prevent stations from just up and moving legal locations. Perhaps we'll return to the days of pirate radio stations broadcasting from international waters...

Radio Free America

Rhod, you are much more positive than I...

I ham haunted by the fact that so much of our communication is electronic and broadcast.

Oops... did I accidentally unplug that?

Dad.. Beware the baby rattlers. They don't control their venom.

This is why I'm hopeful. Radio Free America. The revolutionary upstarts around the comic figure in the Oval Office haven't the guts or cunning to pull off their plans. They're playing dress-up.

Congress, on the other hand, is really dangerous.

Since I go to tea parties and rallies, does that make me an "activist?" If so, I may have have found the loophole.

No, Chick... You're simply a trouble-making mob member.

I think this is a fantastic idea.

Squeeze people until a molecule of common sense can be forced into their heads.

Cause all we got now are frogs sitting in warm water.

Make breathing illegal while they're at it.

Breathing is OK in today's Amerika, but demanding your own air will get you all wee-weed up in Thought Prison.

Nickie, I've applied for a position with the thought police.

You know, just in case.

fyi, the secret password is "swordfish"

So now he wants to turn the American media into his versions of Pravda and Tass. Obarmy is one ruthless crazy commie but he won't be able to silence his critics that easily. What next, I wonder?

Kid, you only think the password is SWORDFISH. They know better.

Barky... What's next? More lying, smokescreens, threats, accusations, censorship and tyranny. The violence and extortion will come soon.
