A very special day indeed. The liberal teachers are what I fear. They will take this football and run with it. Like the music teacher in LL's child choir video.

The teacher in that video creeped me out. I'm sure I was married to her once.

Its way too simple. You made this up, surely? ;)

Here in Connecticut teachers have been ordered not to throw their underwear at the TV screen when Obama appears. House keys are okay.

I think anyone who doen not want their child to be subjected to this biased indoctrination, should simply choose to keep their kid home that day. And make it known that is the plan. Or find out what time the thing is supposed to be broadcast, and have your kid have to "leave school in an emergency" until it's over.
Obviously, the public schools get funding and if enough kids miss out, they don't get it.

Band together, keep your kids home that day. This is total bullshit. Parents can gripe to get the word God and prayer banned from schools for their kids, but in this they have no say. Unbelievable.

I want to laugh because it's so baroque that he has to be a joke.

Sadly, it's deadly earnest and we need to take it in that context. The kids need to simply stay home from school and we need to protect them and ourselves from the man who would be tyrant.

Remind me - where was GW Bush ( that election stealing, neocon, war mongering retard ) on the morning of 9/11?

Liberty? Democracy? A joke.

HogDay... It's true. Every word of it!

Rhod, in California we're asking teachers to go a little lighter on the patchouli oil.

Rhod said...

Scunnert, I thought that kind of tu quoque fallacy was beneath you.

Furry, I agree that parents must take a strong but reasoned stand. Keeping one's child home is not a misguided act since we are charged with the task of keeping our children from being political pawns.

LL, yet again we must stand to prevent the Marxists from taking more ground.

Scunny, I didn't realize they sold Kool-Aid in the UK.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Wait. Laughing is better.

Maybe Scunnert can't identify the difference between political socialization (Obama), and reading a childrens' book (Bush).

Some tunnel in the anarcho-socialist mind has yet to be opened. The "anarcho" tunnel.

Nickie - it wasn't meant as an ad hominem response but rather a defense of the Presidential duty to involve the whole citezenry in the political process. Are children so naive that they can't recognize a charlatan?

I remember, as a child, having to go to an opening of a civic building by the Queen Mother - we we're all given little flags to wave. My thoughts at the time - thanks to a good socialist upbringing were: " What a load of bollocks."

Obama/Bush - what's the difference - they both represent the same interests.

Actually, playing a round of golf is better than either.

Some anarchist.

Scunny, you had to be there.

I don't think there was a post-war President/Administration less adept or interested in winning over popular public opinion than Bush the Younger. It was one of their biggest failures and probably led to the massive backlash. Bush's approach always seemed to be Action over Words. He saw singleness of purpose as a virtue and seemed unswayed by public opinion polls. When he read a children's book to a classroom full of kiddies, he didn't do it on national TV.

Obama seems to be all style and no substance. His views and statements change daily. He maintains deniability on anything and everything. His stimulus package was nothing more than a power grab and payoff to political cronies. He has used his cult of personality and a sycophantic media to maintain a steady stream of leftwing propaganda. He has encouraged citizens to report the words and actions of other citizens. Now, after an election victory supported overwhelmingly by the national teachers' unions, he decides to pitch his strange Socialist doctrine of financial equality to school children monitored by a veritable army of advocates. The public, in increasingly larger numbers are saying...

1. Find a more appropriate forum.
2. Leave my kids alone, you hateful racist shit!

I enjoyed and agreed with your Queen Mum anecdote. American Conservatives would like to think there is no place for royalty here. We've had that war already.

Paraphrased - I agree Nickie. The Obama brand is soft and cuddly while the reality is a continuation of the Bush doctrine.

"Some anarchist."

Just a comment on your system Rhod. Of course it's just "great man" politics that seduces the proletariat into thinking they have a voice - a champion even.

C'mon - you guys know I'm right. This is all Bush dressed up as Castro.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, and Gordon Brown is Maggie Thatcher with tinier goolies. It won't fly, Scunny.

Rhod said...

Well, actually, Scunnert, it isn't the "great man" theory as you're using it. A Scot came up with the idea, so you know about it...and(you'll like this) Hegel for having included it as a feature of his dialectics.

Fooling the proles isn't what you think it is. The proles are fooled by false consciousness, reification, etc, - also an "intentional" veil of ignorance - all socialist humbug, of course. Do I have to TEACH you to be an anarcho-socialist too, Scunnert?

Sheesh.

BTW, you're some dancer when it comes to defending your remarks.

Scunnert, George W. Bush lacked some skills. However, he is an American at heart. He understands the people of America's heartland.

It is said a great man is one who can stoop to the level of a child. George W. Bush sat on a chair with a group of school children reading a children's book on 9/11. That is an act of a humble man giving of his time to a small group of kids.

Obama does not understand America's rugged individualists. He was not raised here. Somehow he emerged from his upbringing as a man with a disdain for the system that made America great. The way he conducts himself, the way he words his phrases communicates his disdain for America and many Americans. Particularly capitalists. Yes, those AWFUL people who work hard and save their money to help others start a business. They save and invest. The HATED CAPITALISTS.

I don't want my children's tender ears anywhere near this bozo's speech. He is a bad influence. My kids are too young to be able to protect themselves emotionally or intellectually from Obama. It is up to me to protect them.

If your idea is to throw the kids to the wolves, it will make them stronger, I think you are misguided. Our liberal education system contributed to where we are today. I don't need a Commie/President preaching class hatred or any of his other misguided ideals to my kids. Or even seducing them to love him now, so as to better instruct them later. NO WAY!

Yeah, but in some circles his words are like cool water to nomads.
